Brisk is under attack, and for the most part this section of the game strings together a bunch of fights with monster minions, with NPC talking sprinkled in for good measure. The enemies we’re going up against are called Strife Minions and these guys have hefty HP. Their moves don’t do too much damage, but they are vulnerable to magic and charged physical attacks, which do a ton of damage, allowing you to whittle away their health quicker.

With that in mind, we begin with an immediate fight with 2 of these monsters. After defeating them, head to your right and speak to the pirates. There’s a merchant just behind them that has some new gear. Collect what you need and keep moving to the right. Our target is on the other side of the shallows. You’ll notice a villager peeking out from behind a crate. Use your wind magic to move the crate and talk to the NPC. She’ll give you 1x Basic Salad for your efforts.

Next, we need to head south and go into the water. Swim down and around the linear path and into The Humble Boast.

There’s some more Minions to take out inside, so defeat these and speak to the villager. She’ll give us 1x Tomato Club. From this position, head to the top of The Humble Boast. There’s a ladder at the back of the room, in the area we lost the arm wrestling match with the pirates. 

Climb the ladder and head to the northern tip of the ship. Use your Graplou to head over to the other side. There’s another to the south west of this, so be sure to swing down there too.

When you reach the ruined building, climb up the steps to the right and use your wind power to push the crate down. Move the crate along the pathway, to the left and then up so you can climb it and ascend to the next level.

Climb up, defeat the enemies and then jump down the hole just to the left of where you initially climbed up. There’s another NPC here. Use your wind power to move the crate and talk to him, he’ll give you 1x Mushroom Soup.

There’s another set of enemies in the courtyard just beyond the fountain so take these guys out and climb the stairwell. The villagers will show up and thank you for your efforts.

A short cutscene will ensue, before everyone will be in agreement over where to go next – a new, uninhabited island to the north. But we need a ship to do that… how about the Vespertine?
