Heaven Official’s Blessing – Season 2 Episode 6 Recap & Review

The Rescue

Episode 6 of Heaven Official’s Blessing Season 2 begins with a flashback to Yong’an. Xie Lian as Guoshi teaches a young Lang Qianqiu aka Tai Hua about his sword technique and how it is dangerous to the wielder. It cuts to the Golden Banquet. Someone has killed everyone leaving only the King alive. Xie Lian shows up but instead of helping, stabs the King just as Tai Hua enters.

Back to the present, Xie Lian requests to be demoted. However, despite his anger, Lang Qianqiu doesn’t want him to descend. Even Shi Qingxuan defends Xie Lian which annoys Pei Ming as he has already confessed to his crimes. However, since he hasn’t revealed the full truth, Jun Wu puts him on house arrest while he investigates. Mu Qing and Feng Xin don’t look happy while Xie Lian requests Qingxuan to protect Lang Ying and Ban Yue from Pei Ming.

At the Xianle heavenly palace, Xie Lian thinks about San Lang and wonders how he will pay him back for burning Paradise Manor. He rolls the dice but his luck is gone.

Mu Qing comes with medicine for his arm but acts nonchalantly. Feng Xin shows up as well but wonders why Mu Qing is there. Offended, Mu Qing starts bickering with him and it turns into a physical fight. While they are distracted, San Lang shows up and pulls Xie Lian into the darkness.

The two officials inform the rest of heaven with Mu Qing claiming Xie Lian ran while Feng Xin argues once more as he points out that the scrap god was kidnapped. Xie Lian tries to answer but San Lang takes over the communication array and blocks them all out.

As they walk through a forest, both misunderstand the vibe.  Xie Lian thinks San Lang is angry and apologises for hiding his mission and burning Paradise Manor. However, San Lang is angry at himself and claims it is his fault that Xie Lian hurt his arm. Even Eming looks sad and Xie Lian tries to assure San Lang that it is not his fault at the end of Heaven Official’s Blessing Season 2 Episode 6.

The Episode Review

Pei Ming seems like the villain for now but soon he will be ho-hoing his way to every fan’s heart. The same goes for Mu Qing. We may hate his guts in Heaven Official’s Blessing Season 2 Episode 6 but he definitely has his reasons for acting the way he does. Just give the poor guy a chance, huh? 

Though one guy we won’t mind hitting on the head is a certain ghost king. Dude ruined one of the coolest rescues by sulking that he hurt his gege. Though, it is pretty hilarious the way San Lang panics when Xie Lian apologises to him.

As for the pace of season 2, while it is enjoyable it is a little concerning. We are still in book 1 and we have 4 more books to go. At this rate, it is either going to take years to complete or the donghua will be cancelled before we even get to the end.
