Cherry Magic (2023) – Season 1 Episode 10 Recap & Review

Long Distance Relationship

Episode 10 of Cherry Magic begins with Achi moving home and video-calling Karan every night. Karan wants to see him but can’t as it is his idea – for them to practice living apart now so they can be ready when Achi moves to Nakhon Si Thammarat for the new branch.

Similarly, Jinta is annoyed since he cannot see Min who is busy practising for an important audition at the end of the week. He gets jealous when he sees fans shipping Min with a band member, Shay to the point that he stalks them.

Achi constantly misses Karan and is disappointed that he doesn’t visit him. He thinks Karan is near his place or on his way but he never actually shows up. When Karan suggests a cruise to Loy Krathong two days before moving day, Achi instantly agrees. Meanwhile, Rock tries to confess to Pai by giving her candies but she gets distracted when she sees that he has submitted the wrong project. Instead, Duj gets his confession candy.

Tanaka suddenly decides to send Achi much earlier to Nakhon which means he won’t make it for the cruise. At the same time, Karan asks Pai for Krathong suggestions as he is excited about the cruise. 

Jinta gives Min the cold shoulder who reveals that he knew Jinta was stalking him and why. He shares that Shay is his childhood friend and is actually dating a girl Jinta is relieved.

Achi finally tells Karan who is fine with cancelling the cruise as he supports Achi’s new career change. Achi doesn’t believe him and keeps asking. He almost mind reads and Karan is hurt that Achi doesn’t trust him. Achi starts babbling that it is his own insecurity; he wants Karan to miss him and be sad their plan was cancelled the way he is. Karan is stunned while Achi runs off.

The next day, Tanaka prepones Achi’s moving day even earlier and Pai is sad. She reveals that Karan actually knew Achi would have to cancel their cruise date. But he said the same thing to Pai that he told Achi, that he doesn’t mind if the trip is cancelled as he wants Achi’s new job to run smoothly. Achi feels bad that he didn’t trust Karan.

It is audition day and Jinta arrives. He sees tons of girls fangirling over Min and is happy to see that he is wearing the shoes Jinta gifted him. However, Min’s team does not win and Jinta comforts him. He gathers all the fans and they thank a teary-eyed Min for inspiring them.

It is the day before Achi’s moving and Karan is busy. The next-door neighbour shows up to wish him farewell and is sure that Karan will be arriving soon as he comes by Achi’s house every night. Achi finally realises that Karan has missed him equally and forms a plan with Pai.

Duj and Rock kidnap Karan from his meeting and bring him to Achi who has set up a picnic near a riverside. Achi apologises and says that he wants to do something for Karan too. They send off their first Krathong together on the water which is how Rock finally realises they are dating. Fireworks go off and they watch it. Karan assures Achi that their feelings won’t change and they profess their love to each other at the end of Cherry Magic Episode 10.

The Episode Review

Well, well, well look how the tables have turned. Since day 1, we have Karan being an absolute fool in love, making Achi feel special and constantly missing and thinking about him. About time that Achi did the same and thankfully Cherry Magic Episode 10 shows us just that. It was adorable how Achi feels sad when he thinks Karan doesn’t miss him or is not disappointed about the cancelled date.

Oh, my sweet summer child, Karan most definitely misses you, enough to hang out near your house like a corporate Edward Cullen. Well, with Karan going out and about to make Achi special, it was sweet to see the role reversal. By the way, did no one fill in poor Rock about all the workplace romance that has been happening?
