Cherry Magic (2023) – Season 1 Episode 11 Recap & Review

Trial and Error

Episode 11 of Cherry Magic begins with Pai wanting someone to do special things for her too. Rock tries to win a gift for her at a street game but fails. However, he promises to do something special for her and she is amused.

On first day of work, Achi is made to walk in the mud and he is a mess. The new branch staff don’t care for his instructions and go about their own way of doing things. They even leave early for their football matches.

Meanwhile, Karan books a table for Achi’s dinner and leaves him little presents. They constantly video call each other with Karan hyping him up. When wondering how to be a better boss, Karan suggests Achi become one of them. On his way home, Achi bribes some kids with candy to teach him how to play football. 

Elsewhere, Jinta takes a morose Min to his and Achi’s hideout and feeds him his favourite dish to cheer Min up. Min is touched as he hugs and kisses Jinta’s cheek. Jinta is in a daze while Min is over the moon as he gets another audition.

Achi starts hanging out with the staff and their kids. He mind-reads and finds out that they are hurt that the head office doesn’t think they are important as they have sent a kid like Achi. Next, they ask to see a photo of Achi’s girlfriend and scold their kid for watching BLs. Achi decides not to tell them anything they are not comfortable with so they will trust him. He is more upset that his phone is dead which means he cannot call Karan.

As for Min, he suddenly doesn’t want to go to the audition as he sees hate comments on his previous audition tape. Jinta cheers him up and they rush to the studio in time. Min kisses him and says he loves him which has Jinta shocked.

It is the championship game and the staff is worried that they cannot make in time. Achi not only lets them off early but subs as a goalie. He hurts his face but they win. The team is over the moon and they get drunk. Achi blacks out and they help him home while wondering about his girlfriend.

At that moment, Karan (who had flown in to surprise Achi) shows up and simply says he is from the head office. He takes a drunk Achi home and tells him not to lose himself in trying to fit in with the team. Achi wonders if it is real or a video call and Karan kisses him.

Karan has to leave early but writes a letter – he is glad they got to spend time with each other and they can talk when they are free. Achi texts him often, telling him how he is fitting in and getting out of his comfort zone. He misses him but his love for Karan grows too.

Unfortunately, Achi falls sick when Karan visits him next. The team checks in on him too and is shocked to see Karan by his bedside. Karan mentally tells Achi that he is fine with their relationship being a secret. However, Achi reveals they are dating. Well, the team is super welcoming and said they kept asking about Achi’s partner just so they’d know who his emergency contact was. 

Meanwhile, Rock tells Pai to head to the rooftop. On her way, the stairwell is decorated and he leaves her letters about how he found her cool and thanks her for her support. He has a big teddy bear and confesses to her once she reaches the rooftop. She is touched as no one has done anything special for her. He says he will wait for her reply and they smile. Duj spots them and is excited.

Then we have Karan who has been working nonstop so he can use his vacation days on Achi. They go to the beach and are happy it is finally the two of them. They kiss and head up to their room. Karan’s thoughts distract Achi who gets worried.

But Karan is fine with it as he won’t be able to read minds anymore. They hook up and after, Karan asks if he regrets losing his powers. Achi says he regrets not loving him before. At the end of Cherry Magic Episode 11, Achi is fine that he cannot mind read anymore as Karan tells him everything.

The Episode Review

Cherry Magic Episode 11 continues with the trend of viewers screaming and giggling every single minute. Just how cute are Achi and Karan even when they are apart? They are constantly supportive of each other and even though Karan is the vocal one, Achi feels bad about hiding their relationship and tells the team no matter the consequences. Are we ever going to get sick from all this sweetness? Probably not.

And not to be outdone, JintaMin and PaiRock are not too far behind either. We, in fact, get a little parallel storyline with JintaMin as Jinta too hypes up and supports Min while he tries something new. Rock’s confession to Pai was super adorable as well. Especially since he did not force her and left it open-ended. But we do feel she is going to say yes to him.
