Where is Nicholas Rossi (Arthur Knight) now? | As featured on Imposter: The Man Who Came Back From The Dead

Where is Nicholas Rossi now?

Truth is stranger than fiction. Or so the saying goes. But in the case of Nicholas Rossi, aka Nicholas Alahverdian, Arthur Knight, and several other aliases, the truth is certainly bizarre…and more than a little disturbing.

Nicholas Rossi is the subject of the new Channel 4 docuseries Imposter: The Man Who Came Back From The Dead. What we learn in the doc is shocking beyond belief. The man is a liar, a conman, a sex offender, and one of America’s most wanted criminals. He’s also dead…or so he would like the world to believe.

But Nicholas Rossi is not dead. He actually faked his own death, for reasons that become clear in the documentary.

In this article, we take a brief look at this serial offender and ask the question: Where is Nicholas Rossi now?

Who is Nicholas Rossi?

Nicholas Rossi was born Nicholas Alahverdian on July 11, 1987, in Rhode Island.

He spent most of his younger years in foster homes where he was allegedly abused by those taking care of him. However, according to the Channel 4 documentary, he was the abuser of the young people who stayed at the places where he lived.

In 2008, Rossi was required to register as a sex offender after being convicted of public indecency and sexually assaulting a student at an Ohio college. He later tried to sue the student for defamation of character and publically accused her of ruining his life online. Thankfully, he was not taken seriously.

The woman was not the first person Rossi sexually assaulted. Among his victims was a 21-year-old woman from Orem Utah and a 26-year-old woman from Salt Lake County. Due to a backlog of DNA test kits at the Utah State Crime Lab, a warrant for his arrest wasn’t issued until 2020.

In early 2020, Nicholas Rossi apparently died of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma while living in Russia. Or did he…?

Rossi did not die. He fled to the UK and faked his death to avoid criminal charges in the US.

What happened to Nicholas Rossi?

In February 2020, Rossi married a woman named Miranda in her home city of Bristol. She didn’t know him as Nicholas Rossi, however, as he went by the name of Arthur Knight.

Shortly after getting married, he orchestrated a ruse to fool authorities into thinking Nicholas Rossi was dead. He then assumed he could live safely with his wife in Scotland without the FBI knowing where he lived.

His fortunes changed when he was taken to a hospital in Glasgow in 2021 to receive treatment for COVID-19. It’s here where police caught up with him and matched his tattoos and fingerprints to those contained within National Crime Agency documents. (source)

After he was arrested, the legal process began but Rossi continued to claim he was Arthur Knight and a victim of mistaken identity. As a consequence, he managed to delay extradition proceedings intended to send him back to the US. But Rossi couldn’t avoid US authorities forever.

Where is Nicholas Rossi now?

After confirmation that Rossi wasn’t Arthur Knight but the man who had tried to avoid capture, he was extradited back to the United States on January 5, 2024,

He is currently in a Utah State jail where he is facing trial for charges of rape.

  1. He should have been caught and brought to justice years ago. Just take his DNA and dental records. His dad says it’s him get his DNA. It’s crazy how he’s cost our tax payers thousands.
    He’s Evil through and through
