Ivy notices that Sora has grown quite a bit in size. Following that, she expresses her delight as Sora is making progress in her health.

While they are travelling, Ivy spots a snake monster. Following that, she carefully wraps her bag around the crawling creature and gathers its meat to sell afterward. Something seems off to Ivy after some time has passed. Following that, she finds a monster’s blood on a horse and several victims. Additionally, she notices injuries on these bodies. This pushes her to run at top speed.

Ivy reaches the village after a short run. She makes a tidy sum in the community by selling the flesh of the snake monster. When this is done, she reports the incident she witnessed on her way to the authorities. Because of the important information she provides, she is rewarded and is requested to stay in the village until the monster threat subsides.

During the final moments of the episode, Ivy tells Sora how she thought she’d always be alone. She expresses her gratitude for having found a friend in Sora at the end of the episode.

The Episode Review

Ivy and Sora go on another journey in episode four. She gathers monster snake meat, valiantly provides the authorities with important information, and grows even closer to Sora than before on her quest.

The episode is lighthearted, but it’s also somewhat gloomy. The episode’s elements complement each other, thus it’s neither too heavy nor too light. In the show, the portrayal of resilience stands out as the one truly admirable quality. You admire the protagonist Ivy for persevering through adversity and you root for her to do well.

While the episode’s plot isn’t outstanding, there are parts of the show, like the character arcs, that are well worth praising. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, yet inspiring show, this one’s worth watching.
