Episode 6 of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today begins on a chilly day, with Saku asking Yukichi where the Kotatsu is. She soon recalls that she previously burned the Kotatsu by accident. She then apologizes to Yukichi, who appears disappointed in her. She then attempts to persuade him to buy a new Kotatsu. Yukichi, on the other hand, refuses to let her buy one.

He nearly burns Saku’s phone when she tries to buy a Kotatsu secretly online. Shortly after, Yukichi heads to the supermarket to buy groceries for the house. He then finds a lottery to win a Kotatsu, but does not win it. Yukichi frustratingly heads home thereafter.

He then grows concerned when he does not see Saku at home. She returns home soon after, and Yukichi hugs her. Following this, Saku tells Yukichi that she won a Kotatsu at the supermarket. Yukichi then eats cat food, while Saku eats dinner while enjoying the Kotatsu.

Saku’s mother sends Yukichi a package containing cat food the following day. Her mother then requests that she send her a picture of Yukichi. Saku panics, but Yukichi assists her in taking a picture, which makes him appear smaller. Saku’s mother sends another package the next day. She sends Saku a knife blade sharpener this time. Yukichi is overjoyed with the present.

Saku’s mother then requests that Saku allow her to hear Yukichi meow. Yukichi, on the other hand, is not your typical cat. So Saku records Yukichi purring, which pleases her mother. Yukichi sharpens the knife with the new sharpening device after resolving the problem at hand and then cooks some delicious food for Saku. Following this, Saku is seen enjoying Yukichi’s dinner. Yukichi, on the other hand, is enthralled by the sharpening device.

The Episode Review

The episode excels at storytelling. It proceeds to tell us stories that are concise, enjoyable, and quite entertaining. The anime maintains its pleasant tone and delivers entertaining episodes with visually appealing animations as well as enjoyable music.

The episode even shows us glimpses of Saku and Yukichi’s role reversal, which is always entertaining to watch. Saku can be seen asking Yukichi for permission to purchase the Kotatsu. Saku also wants him to play with her and cook for her. The dynamics of their relationship are quite intriguing.
