What is Behind Every Star about?

After joining an Entertainment Agency as their newest employee, Manager Hyun-joo is struggling to find a place for herself. Method Entertainment is a major management company where managers try to find a balance between their personal and work lives.

As these Managers/Agents find unique ways to save their agency which is in ruins, they also juggle between managing their private romantic lives as well as all the actors they manage. We have senior manager Ma Tae-oh who is trying to become the new director of the agency while a secret from his past threatens to break his family.

Manager Jane has worked as a manager for 14 years and now as she leads the other managers, she tries to find a balance between her new romantic interest and her career. Jung-don is also a leader of the Managers and is the complete opposite of his best friend and co-worker, Jane. Hyun-joo is a rookie manager who often causes trouble at work.

Has Behind Every Star been renewed for Season 2?

Fans of the K-drama Behind Every Star recently watched the first season of the show on tvN and Netflix, and are now coming up with their own theories about how the show came to an end. After watching how episode 12 finishes, despite having no official confirmation from the makers, Behind Every Star is surely coming back for a Season 2, right?

Officially, the show has not been renewed for a second season yet. However, the season finale of Behind Every Star gives fans something to anticipate from Season 2 when it is eventually renewed.

So far there has not been an official statement about the show from tvN as well as Netflix but there is a possibility to see the K-drama be renewed for a second season that will could be released in 2023.

What we know about Behind Every Star Season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about Season 2 at the point of writing this article. However, if fans were to take off from how episode 12 of Behind Every Star ends, there are a lot of unanswered questions.

The show came to an end on a cliffhanger with Jane falling pregnant. We do not know who the father of Jane’s child is so there are multiple theories about the real father being Hae-jun instead of the obvious choice, Sang-uk. There are also a lot of loose ends with Ma Tae-oh’s future as the Director of the agency.

We will also have to keep into consideration Jung-don’s romantic situation in the upcoming season if there is one. Taking off from its international versions, the show has a lot of potential for not only a second but far more seasons following that.

Of course, Netflix and tvN will soon release more updates about the show but we’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!

  1. Loved every episode, good plots, funny situations and some tension as well.
Hoping for a second season.Belgium says hello.

  2. I love this series, the combining of English and Korean, enjoyed the cultural components. The scripts , draw the audience in .

  3. The guy acting like a girl is too much, he is overreacting every scene, not good, can do better without him/her

  4. We NEED a season 2!! Please Netflix, don’t my let us down! I have been looking for a drama like this for so long, I love, love, LOVE these characters.

  5. I truly hope that the everyone who had the honor and pleasure of being involved in producing such a beautiful realistic movie will be back for another season. Please. Kamsamida. 🥂🙇🏼‍♀️. Peace 💫

  6. Great acting, and comedy as well. Please do Season 2 because we need to see if Chun Jane will go to NY for work and what will happen if she leaves Method Entertainment.
More chaos, more comedy and lots of K-Drama for all viewers everywhere in the world. I loved the show, I look forward to watching each episode and slow as I can because I hate for it to end. That’s me!

  7. Ya gotta have a season 2 I thought season 1 was excellent, great stories and excellent actors. Netflix nocked this one out the park, leaving us wanting more

  8. If they get a new director and better writers. They had a stellar cast but it never lived up to talent of the cast. It was really mediocre director and lazy writing that just did the least. Episode 11 was one of the best that and showed what talented actors can do regardless of the director and writers. Watching Lee Seo Jin’s walk through an empty apartment was an acting master class. The subtlely and depth of emotions was incredible. He doesn’t say a single word and conveys so many emotions and thoughts. And Lee Soon Jae’s reminices about his past experiences was just as incredible. Unless they get a better director and writer I wouldn’t want to watch another season. It had so much unrealized potential.
