28 Days Haunted is the latest spooktacular reality show on Netflix, taking the concept of ghost hunting and dialling it up to 100. After finishing all 6 episodes, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is 28 Days Haunted about?

Three separate teams head off to three different locations, each with three main players (1 “sensitive” and 2 paranormal investigators) to explore haunted locales across the US. They all follow the work of Ed and Lorraine Warren, who have been found out as frauds on more than one occasion, including the infamous Amityville Horror. Anyway, I digress.

The paranormal investigators have figured out that it takes about 28 days to pierce the veil between the living and the dead, so they intend to wait it out for that length of time in these areas, believing it’ll help them communicate with the spirits beyond.

Has 28 Days Haunted been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, 28 Days Haunted has not been renewed for a second season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.

Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

So far, 28 Days Haunted has been ripped to shreds by both audiences and critics. However, the show is currently doing a great job hitting the top 10 on Netflix across various regions across the world.

Given the way this show is set up and the ongoing fascination with all things ghostly and paranormal, we predict that this will be renewed for a second season. This is the perfect sort of show to binge through and very moreish too!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. However, one could argue there’s scope for another season.

We could see another 3 locations chosen but branched out beyond the US, with a number of potentially haunted hideouts across the world possibly chosen in the future.

As mentioned above, we predict that this will be renewed but we’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!

  1. A newer article posted Feb 2023 said they have confirmed a release date for season two being this year around the same time as tbe first season October 20th 2023. Excited 😁😁😁

I have been to this article twice now because I rewatched the series multiple times and even on multiple Netflix accounts to try and get this show renewed, I even told my sisters to do the same to get this season 2 happening. I love this show and the whole concept and its not been done before. With a lot of paranormal investigation shows they all seem to be repetitive and all the same but this one is so different and based on a real theory that I wanna know more about I pray this show gets a season 2

  3. You need another season. Excellent show. I find many people skeptical of the other side when all religions believe in angels and demons of sorts. Therefore here you go. As for me. My faith I have always believed and I have seen first hand at a young age so I know. People will laugh and make fun of you until they themselves experience the experiences and then they have no comment other than either shock or wanting more. I on the other hand do not wish to provoke. I am a Empath and a Beacon. My Ora is white. Keep this show. Let people see what the reality is for real Sensatives and people of everyday. Thank you

  5. Once I started watching I could not stop! I was glued to the TV the whole time. I absolutely loved this series and can’t wait for season 2! PLEASE GIVE US SEASON 2!

  9. I totally loved 28 Days Haunted. I binged watched the whole series in one sitting and it kept me interested the whole time. It was by far the best paranormal investigating that I have seen. I have watched alot of them and a couple days investigating is not enough. 28 days haunted proves that theory. They only scratch the surface compared to 28 days. It was quite an experience for alot of us plus for the investigators. I’m hoping there will be a season 2 and more to come. I’m looking forward to many more. I think that Ed and Lorraine Warren were definitely onto something here and would be so proud of all the investors. I want to see more for sure. Great series!

  10. Excellent series! My wife and I watched all six episodes and enjoyed each suspenseful moment from all three location. We encourage Netflix to renew such a well done series. Looking forward to that renewal!

  12. Binge watched this series. Absolutely loved it! I for one really enjoyed Tony being involved, because it in its own way continues the Warren related investigations. I feel like we needed this series. The approach taken where the investigators are isolated from their loved ones and in these locations they dont know much about until they start digging. It kept me wanting to watch more, to see what else they figure out and what more they can handle with the energies trying to break them. I hope there will be a 2nd season. This was worth watching and tha k you for bringing it to us!

  14. Definitely there is a cliffhanger at the very last few minutes of the last episode, when they showed jereme’s facial expression. I’ve loved anything & everything related to “Horror” since I was 9 years old! So please please please continue with a Season 2!! I’m a huge fan of “28 Days Haunted” watching all the way from Singapore! 🇸🇬🤎🙏🏾

  15. I have just bingewatched this, currently 2.20am, loved it, fingers crossed for season 2. (Even though a glass unexpectedly smashed down stairs in my kitchen during one of the intense episodes) fair to say I have the creeps.

  17. Episode 4 at about 17:51 there’s a white mist bottom left corner that moves left to right just abt the same time they are asking “the father” to come into the room! Zak would have a litter of kittens if he saw that…but no one comments…..oh no! I’m enjoying the program….love the 28 day stay …nice change from the oh so boring one nighter!

  20. This show is incredible and can change the way we all see how paranormal activity really works. This show is so intense, I was in the edge of my seat the whole time. I have to see more of this!! No question! Please please make ALL the seasons!

  21. Just finished watching it in one sitting. Netflix please bring back season 2 with different locations across the world with each country’s own paranormal investogators. Virwers can learn a lot about other’s beliefs and how they can communicate with the Other world. It will be a hit series internationally!

  34. Me and my husband absolutely loved watching 28 days haunted. We have always watched ghost hunters and other paranormal shows but we think that 28 days haunted was far more better than any of the others. So please give us another season.

  37. Watched the entire first season in one day. I must say, this show is why I became involved with the paranormal. It shows you just how thin that veil really is. It shows that there is life beyond the physical. The Warren’s were absolutely onto something with this 28 day method. I hope Netflix brings it back for a 2nd, 3rd and even more seasons!!!
