The Past Is Outside, And The Future Is Here
Episode 10 of Lady Voyeur starts on December 31st. The pop and colours as people are getting ready to usher in the new year. Rita and Rafael are dancing at a party, waiting for the New Year fireworks.
Rita receives a call from Otto warning her that some dangerous people are after her and they have already taken Miranda. Rita struggles to hear the message and tries to get to a quiet place. Abruptly, someone stabs her on the party floor, and Rafael rushes to her but she dies in his arms. I don’t think this is what Sophie Ellis-Bextor meant when she sang Murder on the dance floor!
Fast forward to January 10, blindfolded, Miranda is taken to an abandoned house she recognizes as their childhood home. Cleo takes her on a sarcastic tour reminding her of their lives. At this point, we learn that Cleo is the long-lost sister to Miranda (Gabriela).
We are taken back to 11 years ago when Miranda was laying a flower on her mother’s grave. She also spotted the man who killed her mother laying flowers on the same grave. Being a courageous girl, Miranda confronts the man and he kidnaps her. His name is Fabio, and coincidentally, he is the new lover of Rita’s mother.
Back to the two sisters: Gabriela (Cleo) explains that Fabio abused her physically and emotionally. She went through this abuse alone with no one coming to her defence, feeling empty all her life. Fabio also raped Gabriela, and she has hatred towards Miranda who watched and did nothing to save her.
Miranda meets Rita at Fabio’s house where he took her after kidnapping her. Rita finds her locked away and frees her. Miranda explains that Fabio is dangerous and they hack a plan to escape. However, Rita’s mother was in love with Fabio and didn’t believe the girls.
Cleo (Gabriela) pours her heart out and reveals all her secrets and the revenge plan. She lets her sister know she started the fire when they were young and recently killed their grandma. Gabriela blames Miranda for not taking action to help her or their mother.
Fernando and Cleo have been working to implicate Heitor and take over his company. Miranda thought she was spying on people, not knowing she was being watched too, and she fell into the trap Cleo had set.
First, Fernando killed Diana in a rage at the pool after confessing she never loved him. Diana also admitted that Luisa is Fernando’s daughter.
The sex parties were all planned by Victoria in collaboration with Cleo. On the other hand, Fernando was behind it all to ensure Heitor went down. It’s shocking that Miranda trusted Fernando with all her secrets, not knowing he was the real monster. Fernando also killed Zoe because she threatened to tell the police about his dirty secrets.
Rafael finds a letter left behind by Otto detailing who he was working with and where Paulo lived. Rafael tracks down Paulo and kidnaps him. He brings him to what looks like a barn and tortures Paulo to reveal more information. He learns that Fernando stole his bracelet so that Miranda can think he’s the bad guy. It was a game, well-orchestrated, but justice finally catches up with the culprits. He burns Paulo alive and calls the police anonymously to give them a tip on where Miranda is being held.
How does Lady Voyeur End?
The police get there in time to save Miranda from her twisted sister. Miranda and Gabriela (Cleo) were struggling for the gun and it goes off killing Gabriela (Cleo).
The police update Miranda on what happened after she was kidnapped. We learn that Fernando was accidentally killed in his scuffle with Heitor. The Police also learn that Victoria runs the largest prostitution and human trafficking business in Brazil. She is currently in Europe but they are getting help from Interpol to arrest her.
The good part is that Heitor is alive, and he’s been vindicated. It’s time for Miranda and Heitor to have freedom, disentangled from all lies, betrayal, and hypocrisy. They decide to start dating and Miranda also takes the test to find out the probability of having the Huntingtons’ genes. The probability test comes out positive but she decides to focus on living in the moment. She wants to be a present mom for her child, who she plans to raise with Heitor and name her Rita.
The Episode Review
Episode 10 might have been short, but it revealed all we have been waiting for. Although it’s contrary to what everyone thought, it teaches us that we shouldn’t trust anyone. The worst thing about betrayal is that it comes from people closest to us.
We still dont know who the father of Miranda’s child is. It is not important, we are just curious cats!
At least in the end, everyone got what was coming to them. I am glad Fernando and Cleo died. Sad about Rita, for what it is worth, I think Rafael loved her. Should he have taken the law in his hand and avenged her death himself? No, but Paulo got his karma too. If you live by the sword, you die by the sword!
