Iron Reign – Season 1 Episode 8 Recap, Review & Ending Explained

A Master of Blood

Episode 8 of Iron Reign begins with Miki driving to the scrapyard only to find it deserted. He calls out to his men, but when no one answers, he goes inside the shed only to see the massacre that has taken place while he wasn’t there.

Why does Herrero refuse to arrest Miki?

Victor arrives at Herrero’s house, informing her that Miki and his men have interrogated and killed Nuria. Victor reveals that he tried his best to save her but failed. However, he did manage to kill two of Miki’s men to protect his secret. Victor suggests arresting Miki, but Herrero insists that Miki is just a pawn and that they need to take down the head of the food chain to dismantle Joaquin’s drug empire.

Victor also lashes out at Herrero for not informing him about Nuria being undercover until it is too late, to which Herrero responds that she did it to protect Victor. She also informs Victor that Ricardo and Roman have killed each other, and the funeral is today.

Meanwhile, Miki calls Nestor while he is at the funeral and informs him about everything that has unfolded in the last 12 hours. Miki reveals that Nuria has been killed, and he is certain that there is another mole at the port who has been providing information to the police.

Why did the siblings kidnap Sandra?

At the funeral, everyone pays their respects, from the Frenchman to the Mexicans, including Ariel and Lucia. However, things take a tragic turn when Ariel and Lucia kidnap Sandra, Rocio’s daughter. Rocio, Victor, and Nestor give chase, but the siblings manage to escape by stealing a boat.

The siblings call Nestor and threaten that if he wants to see his daughter returned to her mother, he better find their stolen shipment. Rocio loses her composure, but Nestor assures her that they will get Sandra back.

Afterward, Nestor meets with Gentlemen and reveals that the shipment will be ready by tomorrow, suggesting that perhaps it was Nestor who swapped the shipping containers. After Nestor leaves, the Frenchman contacts Ariel, and it seems they are cooking up something of their own.

Who stole the drug shipment?

While they’re returning to the city, Rocio spots Cuco, the same boy who stole her purse. After some intimidation, Cuco returns the SD card containing details of her father’s phone. One of the videos leads them to a logistics company that often does business with the port.

After reviewing the security footage, they discovered that it was Miki who had stolen the shipment. However, before Rocio and Victor can confront him, Miki is killed by Alex and his girlfriend, who also manage to escape with the van.

However, before Miki dies, he reveals to Victor that he knows Victor is the mole. Additionally, we learn that Miki isn’t working alone. A phone call he receives soon after reveals that he and Nestor were in cahoots all along. Rocio realizes that her own husband is responsible for putting her father in a coma and for the deaths of Roman and Ricardo.

What happened to Victor’s father?

Victor’s father was a downtrodden scrap man working for the Salazar’s when he was approached by Joaquin and Roman. They offered to provide him with the funds to open a retail shop at the port if he helped them eliminate Salazar.

Andres, for the better future of his son, agreed to help the Machado brothers. However, the Manchados didn’t honour their deal and murdered Andres while Victor watched, hiding under the bed. The Manchados believe that if Andres could betray Salazar, one day, he could betray them as well.

The Episode Review

The final episode of Iron Reigns was wild! We were all hyped up for some action and closure, but we were left hanging. Turns out, it was Nestor and Miki behind all the chaos. They stole the drugs, setting off this crazy chain of events that ended up costing precious lives.

Moreover, there’s a chance Victor might have been the one trying to off Joaquin. From what we’ve seen, it seems like he has got a grudge because Joaquin was involved in his father’s death.

Also just when you thought things couldn’t get any more surprising, Roman wakes up from his coma, which is going to shake things up big time. Looks like the next season is gonna be all about Roman taking charge of the port, which totally went downhill while he was in a vegetative state.
