A Man in Full – Season 1 Episode 3 Recap & Review

Episode 3

Episode 3 of A Man In Full kicks off with Serena letting Charlie know that breakfast is ready and the Ritchmans are waiting for him at the dining table. Before they dive into their lavish thousand-dollar lobster meal, Charlie presents Herb with a Texan hat, fulfilling Herb’s lifelong dream of being a cowboy. It’s clear Charlie is pulling out all the stops to impress Herb Ritchman.

Meanwhile, in Wes’s office, Wes asks Roger about his progress in getting the name of the woman Norman assaulted. It seems Roger hasn’t even started yet. Wes and Roger are old friends who graduated from the same law school, but Wes pursued a career as a criminal lawyer while Roger started working for Charlie Crocker.

However, Roger is now having second thoughts and is considering transitioning into criminal law. Later, Roger represents Conrad in court and decides to take the case to trial. As for Conrad, he is sent to Fulton until a trial date is set.

At Turpentine, Herb gets straight to the point with Charlie, telling him he knows the ranch visit is all about business. Herb asks Charlie to be upfront and transparent, saying that while he respects Charlie and his loving family, he can’t invest unless he’s convinced it’ll be profitable.

What Herb doesn’t realize is that Charlie is desperate and will do anything to sway him. Despite Charlie’s best efforts to impress, everything falls flat, and Herb decides to head back home.

When Harry hears about Herb’s meeting with Charlie, he decides to move forward with “Operation Takedown,” which involves seizing Crocker’s assets and selling them to recoup the loan. Harry also instructs Raymond to contact Mark Thorgen, a known attorney, in case they encounter Roger White again.

The first thing the bank seizes is Charlie’s prized Challenger 600 private jet. This not only angers Charlie but also embarrasses him in front of the Richmans. To add insult to injury, Harry gets hold of Charlie’s medical records and discovers that Charlie will soon be confined to a wheelchair if he doesn’t treat his knee injury.

The problem is, that the procedure costs a million dollars, and the bank would never approve such a transaction, especially since Charlie already owes them a billion dollars. Against Strooker’s advice, Charlie decides to attend the gala, completely ignoring the hefty $20,000 price tag for a seat.

He sees it as an opportunity to meet potential investors. Raymond Peepgrass and Harry Zeal are also present, representing the bank. At the party, Charlie bumps into Joyce and asks her to clear her schedule for lunch so they can discuss Norman Bagovitch.

The Episode Review

Charlie’s big pitch to Herb didn’t go as planned, and to make matters worse, Harry Zale took the opportunity to publicly humiliate him.

Now, with the bank closing in on his assets, Charlie’s in a race against the clock.

He needs to find a savior, a white knight—or should we say, an investor—to avoid going bankrupt. Maybe he’s banking on Norman Bagovitch to come through with a favor. Tune in to see if Charlie can turn his luck around!
