The Unwanted Undead Adventurer – Season 1 Episode 9 Recap & Review

Dragonblood Flower

The Unwanted Undead Adventurer Episode 9 begins with Rentt taking up a new job from the Guild. He inquires with Sheila about the Dragonblood Flower before setting out.

He then proceeds to visit the orphanage and is greeted by a young girl. She takes him in and introduces him to the kids. She then takes him to meet the Priestess who is suffering from a chronic illness. Later, she reveals that she needs the Dragonblood Flower to cure the illness. Rentt agrees to keep the secret and heads to the basement to clear the monsters.

As he clears the basement, he finds a rodent that attacks him. Tasting his blood, the rodent changes color and gets connected to him. Reaching Lorraine, she explains it is an ability possessed by vampires. She also prepares dinner for him and enriches it with a drop of her blood.

The next day, Rentt then sets out on a journey to obtain the Dragonblood Flower. Reaching the Tarasque Swamp, he walks the wooden plank and crosses it. He is then attacked by Goblins which he quickly kills off. As he continues his journey, the wooden planks break, causing him to fall into the swamp. A monster fish attempts to attack him, but he is swift with his sword.

At home, Lorraine chats with Sheila about Tottsu village. Lorraine claims she is unaware of why he wants to become a Mythril class. Meanwhile, Rentt faces a massive monster with heavy armor. Rentt is unable to deal much damage, but Edel runs into the monster’s mouth and uses divinity to make it uncomfortable. Rentt then uses his divinity to chop off the head of the monster at the end of The Unwanted Undead Adventurer Episode 9.

The Episode Review

The episode encapsulates an adventure of Rentt where he attempts to help an orphanage. He sets foot into dangerous territory to retrieve a flower needed to heal the priestess of an orphanage. This entails an adventure through a swamp that has stronger than usual monsters to fight. He also fights a Tarasque, which is several feet tall. Ironically, it’s his rodent friend who shows him how to defeat the monster.

The Unwanted Undead Adventurer Episode 9 once again lives up to expectations with a simple storyline and steadfast thinking from Rentt.
