The Masterful Cat Wakes Up Early

In episode 11 of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, Yukichi wakes up early. He goes about doing regular chores while Saku is still asleep. She must leave for work soon, however, she has no intention of waking up. Yukichi promptly drags her out of bed and forces her to get ready.

Before Saku heads off to work, she lets him know that it’s payday and that he and the feline companion will be enjoying a beer and some cat chow when she gets home.

After a long day at the office, Saku comes home to Yukichi’s home-cooked meals. Soon though, her trousers button breaks, indicating that she is gaining weight. Saku promises to work out in the morning before going to work as Yukichi attempts to take away the food and alcohol.

The following morning, Saku sleeps in and misses the workout. To avoid being late, she races to the workplace. Later that night, Yukichi forces her to go for a run and do some other exercises against her will. Following this, we jump ahead in time for a few weeks. We find out that Saku has been slimming down. On top of that, Yukichi has developed a ripped figure.

However now that Saku has lost weight, neither she nor Yukichi feel the need to continue working out. They both gain their weight back at about the same rate.

Yuri, one of Saku’s coworkers, drops by to see her mum. Once she arrives, she reconnects with her cousin sister Rio. Rio and Yuri talk about dating, and Rio shares a story of how two strangers rescued her from a violent ex-boyfriend. From the previous episode, we know that the two people in question are Saku and Yukichi. Nonetheless, Yuri is aware of who they are.

Yukichi is sitting at home, watching a competition in which the winning pet is the one that most resembles its owner. Yukichi discovers through the show that most pet owners have a resemblance to their animals. Yukichi is disturbed by this idea because he starts picturing Saku as having his own disposition.

The following morning, Saku watches the same competition show. Nonetheless, Saku knows that Yukichi would be a regular, albeit enormous cat if she were to envision him to have the same temperament as her.

The Episode Review

Episode 11 of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today features four distinct stories. At first, Yukichi gets up before Saku and takes care of everything in the house. As for the second, Saku has put on some weight.

Following that, Rio describes how Saku and Yukichi saved her from her abusive ex-boyfriend to Yuri. The episode ends with Yukichi and Saku thinking about what it would be like to share the other’s temperament.

The show is mildly amusing and enjoyable. But in terms of content and capacity to be touching while still being humorous, this episode falls short compared to the previous episodes. Despite that, it is still an enjoyable watch.
