The big year for gaming is finally here! Our only hope for the new year is great games and the Nintendo Switch side is making a good start to January. The list includes games that we have known before and that we will see for the first time. Here are the Switch games for January 2022.
If you have one of the other platforms along with the Switch, you may want to take a look at the lists we wrote earlier this month. Rainbow Six Extraction will be a big title for PC owners, while the awesomely cute game Pupperazzi will come to Xbox. Deep Rock Galactic is free with Playstation Plus this month for Playstation owners.
However, here we turn our attention to the most anticipated games coming to Nintendo Switch.

Astroneer – January 13
Astroneer’s release on Nintendo Switch is actually a big win. It was first opened to early access in 2016, and the full version was released in 2019. Now, the story of astronauts trying to survive on alien planets will continue on the Nintendo Switch this month.
While playing Astroneer, we try to do what humanity does best in real life. Build colonies, survive, research and evolve. Expect to collect lots of fun memories with your friends on vast and different planets, navigating dangerous underground areas. This exploration and cooperative gameplay is very suitable for Switch.

Shadow Man: Remastered – January 17
The original version of Shadow Man first released in 1999, and it’s truly a classic. The game, which was released on N64, Dreamcast and the first PlayStation, was one of the most successful action games of that period.
Based on the bestselling comic of the same name, Shadow Man: Remastered is coming to Switch in a remastered version in 2022. It is one of the most enjoyable Switch games you can play this month, whether you aim to reminisce about your childhood or step into this excitement for the first time.

Blackwind – January 20
Blackwind is a very specific type of game. Sporting an isometric view, this sci-fi action game can be played either alone or with your friend in co-op. This game is also due to be released on the same day for all platforms alongside the Nintendo Switch. However, the gameplay of this one feels tailor-made for Switch.
While the story may seem like a classic Hollywood movie at first glance, it has the potential to be a lot of fun. You play a teenager trapped in a prototype combat armor suit during an alien invasion. Your mission is to destroy all the aliens by saying “well, that’s unfortunate.”

Pokémon Legends: Arceus – January 28
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is the first major Nintendo Switch exclusive game of 2022 – and it’s almost here! To begin with, the gameplay videos look great. Arceus is one of the eighth generation Pokemon games in the action role-playing genre.
Developed by Game Freak, which has previously developed many Pokemon games, it’s also published directly by Nintendo. This is the biggest indicator of how big a game Arceus is for Nintendo Switch owners. There are days left to become the greatest Pokemon master, with the usual Collect ’em All objective thrown in once more.
