Untold: Swamp Kings: Where is Tim Tebow now?

What is Tim Tebow’s backstory?

Untold: Swamp Kings does a good job diving into Tebow’s journey, where it’s revealed that he was home-schooled up until college, allowing him to pursue football. In doing so, Tebow was named one of the best high school athletes in the country. With the pick of the land, Tebow decided to play for the University of Florida under head coach Urban Meyer.

Tebow was a key member of the 2006 national championship-winning Florida Gators Squad. He was also part of the team that won the championship in 2008, becoming the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007.

In 2010, Tebow was drafted by the Denver Broncos and spent two seasons with the team before playing with the New York Jets in 2012. During this time, Tebow also played single seasons with the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles before being released in 2015.

In 2021, Tebow left the NFL and played baseball briefly before retiring in 2021.

At the end of his college football career, Tebow held 5 NCAA, 14 Southeastern Conference, and 28 University of Florida records. He was the SEC’s all-time leader in career passing efficiency (170.8), completion percentage (67.1%), passing touchdown to interception ratio (5.5 to 1), rushing yards by a quarterback (2947), and rushing touchdowns (any position).

What happened to Tim Tebow? Where is he now?

Tim Tebow actually returned to the NFL and reunited with former head coach, Urban Meyer, at the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. Much like Urban Meyer, this run was short-lived.

Tebow now works as a college football analyst, and in 2021 he actually joined the popular show “First Take” collaborating alongside sports personality Stephen A. Smith.

Outside of work, Tebow is a motivational speaker and a devoted Christian. He’s a best-selling author to 3 books, with the latest called “Mission Possible,” and a pro-life advocate.

While still attending Florida, he worked on the “First and 15” program benefiting Uncle Dick’s Orphanage, before later going on to create the Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010. This is a charity upholding the mission of providing essential support to orphans in various countries.

Tebow currently resides in Florida with his wife, 2017 Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow. Despite his short-lived career, it’s estimated that Tebow’s net worth is between $5-$10 million as well.
