Snowdrop is the first Disney+ exclusive K-drama, and it’s quite the controversial one, ruffling feathers with Korean citizens and reportedly being rewritten several times over the months.

The story is set in 1987, deep within the period of history where South Korea was governed by a dictatorial government.

When grad student Soo-Ho is hidden in Hosu Women’s University by Eun Yeong-Ro, a forbidden romance between the two blossoms, with complications occurring when shocking details about Soo-Ho are revealed.

Where Can I Watch Snowdrop?

Snowdrop is available to watch on Disney+ but only in selected regions. These unfortunately do not include the UK, the US or the Philippines. Yep, it’s shocked us too!

The list of confirmed countries that can watch this on Disney+ are as follows:

  • Hong Kong
  • Taiwan
  • Indonesia
  • Japan
  • Australia

Brazil is also due to follow at some point in 2022. Unfortunately this means a good number of people will be unable to watch this one.

For Koreans, this is a JTBC original and airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 10.30pm (KST)

Snowdrop Episode 15 & 16 Release Date

With the Lunar New Year fast approaching, JTBC are intending to wrap things up on Snowdrop with a hurry. After Saturday’s episode, expect both of these to drop in quick succession.

Episode 15 is due to be released at 10.00pm (KST) followed immediately by episode 16, which runs from 11.30pm (KST).

These will then be released on Sunday 30th January on Disney+. The team are reportedly quick at translating, so do expect subs to be available immediately.

Expect episodes 15 and 16 to be around 1 hour 20 minutes long, although the finale may be a little longer given it’s the final episode.
