Renewed Or Cancelled?
The Fabulous is Netflix’s fashion Korean drama that serves as a mix of multiple different emotions from friendship to fashion and from love to revenge. The show sees SHINee’s Minho and actress Chae Soo-bin in the lead role with many other great characters that make the show one with an engaging decent premise and an enticing romance at the heart.
The show follows the adventures of four friends who are trying to make it big in the fashion industry with their respective careers with one being a designer, one being a model, another being a PR representative for a luxury brand and the other being a photographer.
After finishing the eight episodes of its first season, you may be wondering if the SHINee Minho and Chae Soo-bin starrer, The Fabulous has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is The Fabulous about?
Season 1 of The Fabulous follows the life of Ji-eun, the protagonist of the show who is a PR agent for a luxury brand. She has some high-profile connections, one being her fashion designer bestie, Joseph and the other being her model bestie, Seon-ho. Ji-eun has an ex-flame in Ji Woo-min who works as a photographer in the same line of work as her other friends.
After moving on from Woo-min, Ji-eun is now dating a businessman and the CEO of a luxury fashion brand – Rublani but she still cannot seem to make it work with her present boyfriend. Something about Woo-min still comforts him and she tries to find a balance between her friendships, work, and romantic life while being tried and tested in all these areas at once.

Has The Fabulous been renewed for Season 2?
At the time of writing, Netflix has not renewed The Fabulous for season 2. Given the popularity of the show as well as the actors starring in it, one could expect the fashion-based drama to be renewed for a follow-up. The show was released on Netflix on December 23 and given the fact that it had been released during the holiday season, The Fabulous made it to the Top 10 TV Shows on the streaming platform soon after it was released.
Officially, the show has not been renewed for a second season yet. However, given that most Korean dramas only run for a single season, and the show was concluded with a pretty straightforward ending with no loose strands, we predict The Fabulous will not be renewed.
So far there has not been an official statement about the show from Netflix or the producers but there is a possibility to see the mini-series be renewed for a second season that will could be released in 2023.
What we know about The Fabulous Season 2 so far:
Most Korean dramas are reserved for one season but given the fact that The Fabulous is a Netflix Original, it can be expected that the show to be renewed for a new season however it seems fairly unlikely that this one will be renewed.
However, in the event of a season renewal for The Fabulous, we will be able to see how Seon-ho maintains her career as a model in a different country after she moves to New York. It will also be interesting to see Joseph manage the operations of Theirry’s Parisian brand in Seoul while managing his own designer line, Mr Joseph.
On the other hand, Woo-min and Ji-eun could have more relationship troubles with her being busier than ever to give him time all thanks to her new responsibilities. Woo-min on the other hand could grow distant from her with his intention to travel around the world to cover the fashion weeks around the cities of New York, Paris, Milan and more for his street photography.

I just finished watching episode 8 and I was so eager to see episode 9. I hope there’s a Season 2. Great cast, the music, and wardrobes for all characters was on point, even the makeup was ‘fabulous’ (pun intended). Loved it!
