Partner Track is the latest soapy drama on Netflix, blending lots of romance with sprinklings of law for good measure. If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Partner Track about?

Partner Track is a law drama but let’s be honest here, it’s mostly a romantic drama. Our protagonist here is Ingrid Yun, an idealistic young lawyer who struggles to fight the ladder to success in the wake of the established order.

She immediately finds herself thrown into a love triangle with old flame and current law firm rival Jeff Murphy while sensitive and sweet Nick fights for her attention.

Meanwhile, we also have Ingrid’s best friends Tyler and Rachel who have their own subplots across this first season.

Has Partner Track been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Partner Track has officially not been renewed for a second season.

Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

Partner Track had a pretty mixed reception with critics giving this show bad reviews but audiences (at the time of writing) more positive overall. This is ultimately one of those shows that’s not going to ignite the small screen and that’s clearly been reflected in the viewing figures Netflix are using.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have only just cancelled the series. Unless another network pick this one up and run with a new story, it seems like the end of the line for our lawyers.

So what could happen in a theoretical season 2? Well, the big reveal that Jeff has betrayed Ingrid, much to the surprise of… absolutely no one would be a big talking point. We could well see Ingrid try and get revenge, while Tyler’s new venture with Valdo and Rachel’s writing gig look set for a brand new chapter in their lives. All of this is, of course, speculation over whether another network pick this up but right now that seems highly unlikely.

  3. I started watching , then it drew me in. I want to see what happens in season 2. Please renew the show or at least let all that want to see the second season can be seen on , if not Netflix.

  4. You absolutely “MUST” give us a Season 2!!!!! Please, please don’t leave us hanging with all these unfinished stories untold!!! I won’t be able to sleep not knowing if and when Season 2 is going to be back.

  30. Please let those at Netflix renew Partner Track. We can’t be left hanging and wondering whether Ingrid will find a more worthy love partner—perhaps Z? Nick had 100% more integrity as Jeff.

  52. Loved Partner Track although I found it a little slow to start with BUT then I couldn’t stop watching it. I was hooked. I think Ingrid and Z will get together and Jeff will get his comeuppance!
    What a brilliant cliffhanger. We definitely need a season 2.

  56. Both me and my husband binge watched the series over 2 evenings. It was a fantastic series . This has to be renewed again , the characters are great . Want to see what she does to Jeff now that she knows what he did . What a cliff hanger . Need to know what happens next fast

  58. Loved the show. Need a season two to wrap things up. Hard to find a show without violence, sex and swearing. Ok, there was a little sex but nothing “in your face.” Ingrid needs to get even!!!

  66. I love this show, I binged watch the first seven episodes in one night. I could not stop watching the show and when I stopped at the seventh episode, I was still thinking about it when trying to go to sleep. It’s an awesome show! It’s not only the romance, but shows how difficult it is for women and people that are not Caucasian to actually get ahead!

  81. Yes, I LOVED IT and my soul needed this. I found it so relatable as a woman of color working as an architect. I was feeling really bummed and hopeless about my career, and watching this gave me the fire I needed to go into work (I was contemplating quitting) — but mostly it gave me the hood that no matter what happens, I will be ok if I stay true to myself.

  95. Yes I hope Season 2 comes out. I’m mixed between Jeff and Z for Ingrid. I don’t think Jeff maliciously told Marty about jail but she should have also told the firm.I like Z for her to because he’s new and they can start something new. Nick was too soft for her.

  100. Watched season 1 in a day and a half. Loved it. Between sparks and law, as well as representation of the Asian community, I love it. Want this to be renewed for season 2. Also, that ending was a great cliffhanger. Would like to see Ingrid and Jeff together though! And also to reminisce what her one night stand was to better form a story.

  115. Completely lived the characters. I would be great to watch Ingrid continue to grow as an attorney and find her real value in her own law firm. Maybe romance will blossom for her and Z. Love to see Tyler step into more of role if defending smaller fashion companies against the more well known. Rachel finally become a great playwright.

  118. Great show. Hope it gets renewed. It’s refreshing to have Asian leads and story line without subtitle.
