Crime documentaries and shows are big around the world and now, given the number of mysterious cases coming from India, Netflix has started narrating the stories of real-life criminal incidents from the country through their platform.
Kohrra follows two police officers who are embroiled in a murder investigation after an NRI guest was murdered at a wedding in Punjab, India. As the first season of Kohrra has finally ended, there is one lingering question that many fans have after watching the finale – has this been renewed?

What is Kohrra about?
The mini-series follows the story of two police officers who start investigating the murder of an NRI. After learning that the young man was killed days before his wedding, the cops start looking into his to-be bride’s ex-boyfriend who may be involved in the crime.
As the investigation unfolds, murky details are revealed and a world of deceit, secrets and the dramas of dysfunctional families are revealed.

Will there be a Season 2 of Kohrra?
At the time of writing, Netflix has not renewed Kohrra for a second season. Given the nature of this series, that could change if it does good numbers for the streamers.
Generally, networks and streaming platforms gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly, other times, it can take months before a network makes a decision over a show’s future.
So far, Kohrra has had a pretty positive reaction from audiences and critics alike with steady ratings for a web drama. With all that considered, we predict that Netflix may not renew Kohrra for a follow-up season. However, with the way the season ended, there is little hope for the show to be renewed for a second season.
Now, that is not the only deciding factor here since streamers tend to renew shows even if they end on a conclusive note. TV networks and streaming giants have renewed shows on the basis of the popularity of their initial seasons. What we know about Kohrra Season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about a possible renewal of Kohrra for a second season. Since the show ended with no loose strands, there is little to nothing that the cop duo of Balbir Singh and Amarpal Garundi to work on. We can also hope that Pramod’s mysterious death be investigated when the cops find out about Manna’s involvement.
However, it is also possible that if the show is renewed for a new season, the cops will look over a different case. We can also get more insights about Amarpal’s married life with Silky and his sister-in-law, Rajji’s reaction to it. We may learn more about Balbir’s relationship with Indira despite his guilt after he killer her husband.
There is also a possibility that the actors return for a spin-off of some description featuring the same characters. But based on everything we’ve seen, Kohrra will probably not be renewed.
