The Bollywood industry flourished during the ’90s with action romance films that gained a lot of popularity at the time. Bringing back that same nostalgia, the latest Netflix sensation, Guns & Gulaabs has already become a hit among fans in India.
Gun & Gulaabs is a dark comedy that is set in the middle of an opium-growing fictional town called Gulaabganj. While a newly transferred Narcotics Officer tries to do his job, the guns and thugs around the job want to maximise the illegal production of opium in order to meet the demands of a client.
As the first season of Guns & Gulaabs has finally ended, there is one lingering question that many fans have after watching the finale – has this been renewed?

What is Guns & Gulaabs about?
Guns & Gulaabs is a black comedy crime thriller and is set in the 90’s world of crime and violence. The show depicts the story of love and innocence blending with humour and romance. Inspired by the “Misfits of the World”, the series mixes the nostalgic tales of romance in the 90’s with crime. An American hard rock band called Guns N’ Roses, which gained popularity in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, inspired the show’s title.

Will there be a Season 2 of Guns & Gulaabs?
At the time of writing, Netflix has not renewed Guns & Gulaabs for a second season. Given the nature of this series, that could change if it does good numbers for the streamers.
Generally, networks and streaming platforms gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly, other times, it can take months before a network makes a decision over a show’s future.
So far, Guns & Gulaabs has had a pretty positive reaction from audiences and critics alike with steady ratings for a web drama. The show is already #1 among the Most Watched TV Shows in India. Also, the way the season ended, there is some hope for the show to be renewed for a second season. With all that considered, we predict that Netflix may renew Guns & Gulaabs for a follow-up season.
Now, that is not the only deciding factor here since streamers tend to cancel shows despite the popularity of the show. Many popular shows on Netflix have been cancelled to the dismay of many fans. What we know about Guns & Gulaabs Season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about a renewal of Guns & Gulaabs considering that Netflix hasn’t greenlit a sequel yet. With that being said, the show ended with a few cliffhangers that make us believe that this Raj & DK project could release a second season; a possible spin-off series or a spin-off movie with the characters from this series.
We know Jugnu transitioned into a woman and wanted to prove how a woman was capable of running an opium business. As all her friends, enemies and other people involved are dead, Jugnu can restart her life as a woman and on her own terms. The secret that Babu Tiger died telling Gangaram is still safe with him.
It is possible that the teen boy remembers the secret and shares it with Paana Tipu that makes bigger revelations. Finally, despite his best efforts, we saw that Paana Tipu was not able to kill Aatmaram and it is possible that the man returns to seek recent on Paana Tipu. We also know that Madhu learned about Arjun’s affair and that could complicate things for him if the show is to be renewed for a second season.
