Renewed Or Cancelled?
Gaslit is a limited series on Starz, examining the Watergate scandal with an eclectic group of characters, sharp dialogue and interesting drama. This 8 episode series has been quite the ride over the weeks. With that in mind, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled.
What is Gaslit Season 1 about?
Gaslit is the latest historical drama, one that takes on a modern look at the 1970’s political Watergate scandal. The show is a modern take on the scandal, focusing on forgotten characters and untold stories from the time. Whether it be Nixon’s subordinates, tragic whistleblowers or deranged zealots, Gaslit flits around to different characters, showing an interesting take on a well-known topic.
Among those characters we have Martha Mitchell and her husband John. There’s also John Dean’s ambition to ascend into the White House Counsel, unwittingly thrown into Nixon’s re-election campaign instead. Not only that, but we also see the FBI investigation, a separate thread involving a security guard called Frank and several other supporting players too.
Has Gaslit been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Starz have not renewed Gaslit for season 2. Given this show has been billed as a limited series, it would seem unlikely that this one will be renewed. Not only that, but the show is also historical fiction, depicting a real life event that occurred, adding a modern spin and showing the story from different perspectives.
With all that in mind, it’s safe to assume that it’s highly unlikely this one will be renewed for season 2. Given Starz have not given given confirmation either way (at least at the time of writing this article!), then we’ll have to wait and see.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Starz have not green-lit a sequel.
As detailed above, this show has been billed as a limited series and as such, it would be highly unlikely if this is green-lit for a follow-up. But hey, stranger things have happened in the TV space! Given Starz haven’t actually confirmed either way yet, we’ll have to wait and see.
For now though, we’re under the impression that there will not be a season 2 but we will aim to update this page when more information becomes available.

I thoroughly enjoyed season I. The acting was incredible and I could tell that a lot of research had been to create scenes that were accurate for those times. I would love to see a season II.

Loved it! Definitely a Season II. The cast of characters is really great and the way the story is told through each character’s eyes makes is most interesting. There are alot of different directions the show could go. I would love to see more of John Dean’s story told. Would like to see more! I vote Season II!
This show is amazing. The best thing since Queen’s Gambit. The acting is superb, and the story is so relevant to our present time and it’s so important that people learn about it. One powerful and corrupt president destroys so many lives and puts the entire country at risk. They should really keep it going. Or do one just like it on Trump.
