Has From Scratch Been Renewed For Season 2?
From Scratch is a limited Netflix series that tells the love story of Lino and Amy. The show is certainly emotional and many may be curious if there will be a season 2. Here is what we know:
What is From Scratch about?
From Scratch is an eight-episode series that follows the love story of Lino and Amy. The series is based on the real-life story of Tembi Locke as written in her memoir by the same name. Lino and AMY first meet when she takes a chance and travels to Italy to study art. While there she meets Lino, a handsome chef who sweeps her off her feet and they begin a beautiful romance.

Has From Scratch been renewed for season 2?
Netflix is yet to make an official statement on whether there will be a season 2 but we knew from the beginning that this is a limited series. Tembi Locke, who produced the show alongside her sister Attica Locke, has also not issued any statements either.
In most cases, Netflix gauges numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars).
Even though this show has been well-received by critics and viewers alike, it is highly unlikely that Netflix will renew it for a second season. The show is based on real-life events that happened in Tembi Locke’s relationship with her first love and that is how their love story ends.
That said, we will still keep you updated about any future developments in the series if and when Netflix give an official announcement.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Given that the show is based on the tragic death of Tembi Locke’s first husband, it is safe to say that their story ends there. If you want to hear more about how she healed from the loss and found the strength to carry on, kindly listen to her recently launched podcast.

Hi Sharon. Thank you so much for reading the article and commenting . Kindly note that this was a show based on a real couple. The events on the show actually happened to someone. I know we all love a happy ending but sadly this was the reality for this couple.
From Scratch started off well up to the part where Lino became ill I was done with the show. The storyline could have excluded this. Looking for more love stories with happy endings not people dying. Stories like Noel’s Diary and Virgin River our phenomenal.
