Chucky is the latest serial adaptation of the cult horror movies, taking place in the same universe with a delightful blend of horror and comedy. After finishing all 8 episodes, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Chucky Season 2 about?

Chucky was one of the bigger surprises last year. Everyone had written this off as another desperate Hollywood cash-grab but in reality, the show managed to hone in the essence of what makes Child’s Play such a good franchise.

With Chucky’s plans foiled at the end of last year, Chucky is back and this time he’s not finished just yet.

Desperate for revenge, Chucky is intent on taking out surviving teens Jake, Devon and Lexy, along with his ex Tiffany, who’s now his sworn enemy.

Has Chucky been renewed for season 3?

At the time of writing, Chucky has officially been renewed for a third season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that’s great news for fans of this one!

In the official announcement the team wrote:

The cast and crew of ‘Chucky’ would like to thank fans and critics alike for their overwhelming response to season two, which we’re delighted to announce has now spurred the official greenlight on season three. This news has made Chucky very happy. Thank Damballa for that because otherwise Chucky would have been frankly impossible to deal with. Many thanks also to our partners at SYFY, USA and UCP for helping us keep Chucky busy. See you in 2023 for what Chucky himself promises will be his scariest season ever.

Chucky has had a really good reaction from audiences and critics alike, but the ratings have been more of a sticking point. Despite starting with a 0.35 million viewers, since then the series has dropped to around 0.13 million, which marks a 55% drop.

Despite that though, it’s clear USA Network have faith in this one and the murderous doll will be back for more action in the future!

What we know about season 3 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given Syfy have only just green-lit a sequel. However, we do know that more legacy characters could be included, while the plot itself has been worked out quite well.

The Child’s Play series is well known for having an ever-evolving mythos so that could play a part going forward here too.  As mentioned above,this has already been renewed so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.

  1. Please I want a 3rd season. Season 1 was great and Season 2 was better. Now I want to see Season 3. Yes I agree that we should kill Chucky and have a great ending to a great story but also leave room for your imagination to continue the mythos of Chucky. I like the 3 main characters Jake, Lexy, and Devon. They make a good team, even tho they are always fighting. It still makes it interesting. Wonder how Chucky and Lexy’s sister Caroline dynamic will play out. Plus I love how the actor Devon Sawa plays different parts. Bring him back to play another part. A cop? A relative of Andy? Or maybe just maybe…a brother of Charles Le Ray? 😱 in any case. Just make a new season 3 and make the story compete for our viewing pleasure 😁

  4. I would love to see a season 3 of Chucky. I love this series so much. It’s so addicting I keep wanting to watch it over and over again.

  5. Me and my girl enjoyed the first two seasons you can not leave us high and dry without an ending it’s a very good classic movie that needs its series to be complete

  6. Yes please we need Chucky season 3 at first I wanted to see Lexy get killed by Chucky but now she’s my second favorite character Chucky of course but I think Jake and Devon are good I just wish they wasn’t gay though

  10. Yes, ofcourse I want chucky season 3. I can’t wait. I have been checking the net for any updates. Want to see chucky my favorite doll. I was 19 years old when I married my wife. Chucky was the movie we watched together ❤️

  13. I like Chucky I always have since being a kid but can’t you just kill him now? It feels like it’s been dragged out. You’ve got Childs play 1,2 and 3 then bride the seed the curse then cult and they’ve made a new child’s play and a series. I would actually like to see Chucky die. So I’d say make a third season or at least a movie and finally kill Chucky off. You’ve killed Tiffany off who’s been in it since bride so why not kill of Chucky? I do love that you brought back Andy and Kyle and how you said goodbye to them that was awesome but please please please let us say goodbye to Chucky.

  15. I absolutely enjoyed season 1 and season 2, I am waiting for season 3 to come out.
    I think its best that yourl should end it in season 3, we keep waiting in suspense ..
    My favorite actor is Devon, Lexy and Jake.
    I honestly hope yourl will renew season 3..

  16. I like Chucky and I don’t like when you people leaving me hanging when there is more when play a movie you finish it. It makes me mad when you don’t finish movie I like the ending to be the ending of movie I don’t like the middle of the movie being the ending of the movie do your job right.

  17. I would sure love a third season of Chucky..I’m currently in suspense and curiosity as to how things will go after season 2..so a third season Will be well received.

  18. I have no idea why the ratings dropped so much in season 2 compared to the first season. I thought both seasons were equally awesome. The show is gory/hilarious/the cast is amazing, and I like how they changed the whole scenery in the second season. Now all three kids are all orphans thanks to Chucky 🙁 I love Lexi, she’s my favorite, and the way season 2 ended with Lexi’s sister and Chucky being Belle all along. I was shocked and thought it was surprising and great story telling. It was far from boring, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CHUCKY SERIES, SO I THINK THERE SHOULD BE ONE MORE SEASON AT LEAST TO END IT PROPERLY RATHER THAN LEAVING FANS WITH THAT CLIFFHANGER OF AN ENDING. PLEASE RENEW CHUCKY FOR A SEASON 3 AND END IT THERE!

I would love to have a third season of Chucky I have watched all the movies and all the two seasons a third season would be lovely maybe create more episodes so the fact that it ends so quickly it felt rushed throughout the eight episodes take your time with the show and the script writing I love the fact that it went on with how the movies were there was a lot of loose ends and it got tied up with for us in the show I want to see more about the children now that they are a doll again and how the little girl is going to become now that she thinks she is adopted absolutely loved overall just don’t focus so much on the game sceneries for the children that do like Chucky

  25. Huge fan of Chucky, please bring the show back. The show is amazing and I’ve rewatched season 1 a few times. Can’t wait to rewatch season two until come out with a season 3. I’m from New Jersey and loved the shout outs in this show.

  30. At least make two more seasons for ‘Chucky’. I don’t care if there’s less episodes than the first two seasons but Chucky deserves a better ending. I feel like we barley got to know Chucky, we need more of him. I loved the season one & two. I can’t wait and I’m excited for Chucky season 3 and if lucky even season 4. Bring the show back!

They should at least give it a proper farewell you can’t end a season with a spoiler for another season and not deliver so I say yes I would love a season 3 with a decent ending to the show even if it where told in 6 episodes instead of the usual 8 I realise it can’t go on forever but it deserves a slashing ending with one ore more main characters dead and an opening for new movies to come
