The Mosquito Coast is a remake of the movie sporting the same name. After a pulsating first season, the series returns with a slower pace and a much bigger focus on the family dynamic. After finishing all 10 episodes, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is The Mosquito Coast Season 2 about?

The story this time around sees Allie, Margot, Charlie and Dina off together, trying to find a refuge for themselves. They soon find it in Casa Rojo, but they quickly realize all is not what it seems. The place is surrounded by the cartel, and the leader of Casa Rojo is actually working under a far more dangerous player called Guillermo. When Allie and the family arrive, they find themselves caught right in the middle of this.

If that wasn’t enough, family drama ensues between the group as more of the past is unveiled, including exactly why Allie and Margot are on the run and what led to this very moment.

It’s a shocking reveal for sure and this first episode sets things up for the rest of the show… which tiptoes around without doing very much for far too long. And then of course, everything bows out long after the party has ended.

Has The Mosquito Coast been renewed for season 3?

At the time of writing, AppleTV+ has cancelled The Mosquito Coast season 3 according to Deadline.

What we know about season 3 so far:

If, miraculously, we do get a season 3, expect more of Margot, Charlie and Dina’s story to be unveiled, potentially with them having to defend their newfound community on the Mosquito Coast.

  22. Great series. Worth another season. There are plenty of back stories and new character developments which can be made to allow for us to waste another 10 hours of our lives.

    I look forward to season 3.

  26. Please renew a 3rd season. It’s incredibly good and make sure you’re able to watch all the way through with no interruption. I agree it’s sometimes hard to follow so that’s why I suggested watching without interuptions

  30. I really enjoyed Mosquito Coast and looked forward to each new episode but then I love watching Justin Theroux in anything. I would probably watch it even if he’s not in it a third season just because I’m invested in the family now but it would be much better if he survives and reunites with his family.

  31. Hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did. Our family was just in the DR and during our vacation we happened to come across a portion of beach where we were forbidden to tour, but to my surprise JT and his MC family were on set🤫🤫🤫. So I am pretty sure there’s going to be a season 3😁

  34. I will be cancelling Apple TV, if they don’t renew for season 3 it’s one of their best shows. Acting is brilliant. The young lad who plays Charlie is especially good.

  39. This is EASILY one of the best drama series EVER !!! I love this family and I feel their struggles. If this is not renewed for 10 more seasons … then I’m afraid the world is broken.

    Such sensitive intelligent true honest exciting performances and a blast to be in the run with all of the family members particularly in the jungle.
    This ingeniosity make the audience more incline to rejects banal superficial aspects of their own life and people who doesn’t like that are probably full of themselves..

  41. I enjoyed it tremendously! Justin Theoroux should win an Oscar or golden globe for his superb acting, especially his facial expressions were so moving! They just need to drastically reduce the usage of the f word, especially Dina

  46. The show was garbage! Please! Nobody talked to anybody truthfully nor otherwise. The son was brain dead and spoiled to the point where he caused far more bloodshed than he was worth. Mom became a wretched hag who had no more leverage to get anything done “for the kids” and Dina was a schizo. All the bad guys are now dead, along with Dad. The show is over, done, finished. Thereis nothing “hanging” season three holds nothing of any interest

  52. Mosquito Coast was an excellent show I sure would hope that there’s a season 3. Perhaps Allie made it from the blast knowing his family made it to Mosquito Coast & he shows up. Even if the show continues with just Margot Dina & Charlie. I looked forward every Friday to watch the show. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a season 3.

  54. Yes. I want to see. Season 3 of Mosquito Coast!! It’s a fantastic story and the actors are amazing
    Criticism on slower pace of S2 was necessary! Builds the relationships and internal turmoil of key actors. Truly great series. I WANT more!

  55. We REALLY like this show! Don’t leave us hanging! I hate networks that do a good job & then viewers get invested and are left cold. Bring it back and don’t make us wait so long we forgot what happened!

  56. I think Mosquito Coast is an excellent series and I for one will be waiting for the renewal and a season 3. The casting and story line is way above average and I don’t know who would say it was slow moving and lacks action.

  57. PLEASE renew Mosquito Coast for a 3rd season. We wait (im)patiently for it to come on each week. Apparently, Allie has been paralyzed, however, I’m sure there’s a way to have him return to the show.
