Amazon Prime’s horror-comedy, The Horror of Dolores Roach revolves around a murderous couple. Dolores, the woman is seen clarifying why she as well as her partner, who is an empanada seller, murdered people and made empanadas from their corpses.

What is The Horror of Dolores Roach about?

The horror-comedy, The Horror of Dolores Roach follows Dolores Roach, who starts over after serving an unfair 16-year prison sentence. When she finally experiences freedom, she searches for jobs but is unable to locate any. In the nick of time, she reconnects with an old stoner companion, Luis, who not only lets her stay in the basement beneath his empanada store but also lets her operate her masseuse parlor there. 

For once, Dolores’ situation appears to be improving, but only till her freshly acquired stability, which includes her job, is put in danger. Dolores is pushed to take harsh and questionable measures as a way to stay alive and get through the current trying circumstances.

Additionally, Dolores’ past is still a source of anxiety for her, particularly her connection to the mysterious Dominic. Interestingly, she finds herself drawn back into the world of crime when she becomes involved in a string of serial murders, which is fueled by her partner’s cannibalistic streak.

Has The Horror of Dolores Roach been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Amazon Prime has not yet renewed The Horror of Dolores Roach for a season 2. This is not surprising given that the horror comedy has only recently wrapped up on the streaming platform.

UPDATE: The show has now been cancelled. 

While renewing a series, Amazon Prime often evaluates a variety of factors, such as how many people initially watch it along with the drop-off rates. Some series undergo fast cancellations or renewals. Other times, it may take several months for Amazon Prime to decide whether or not to renew a show. 

The majority of the show’s feedback from critics was favorable, and they appreciated the content, themes, as well as performances. Additionally, Season 1’s finale makes a strong suggestion that there might be another season. However, the a second season has not been given the green light.

The show has been cancelled so there will be no season 2.

  3. Season 2 would be cool. She starts to kill the woman who hooked with Dominick but then the two of them make up in the name of sending Dominick to prison, but have to kill a few of his protégées in the process. All the other woman Dominick was screaming with to screw them both over. Then Dominick himself Of course Daloris should end up with all of Dominick stuf

  7. Yes, want a S2! Superb writing, which is where any great show starts. And the performances were also excellent.
    Please though, do NOT base S2 on the podcast’s S2 storyline! I found it cartoonish.
