The Ark is the latest space-bound series dropping on Syfy, complete with a big cast of characters, plenty of drama and a pretty good premise too. After finishing this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is The Ark Season 1 about?
The Ark is the latest Syfy Original set in space, following the remaining crew of a spacecraft known as Ark One. These survivors are tasked with becoming the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive after experiencing a catastrophic event.
Each of the episodes follow a similar structure, with an “issue of the week” to contend with, whether that be a lack of water, hallucinations or just big ol’ arguments between the crew. Will our group make it out the other side in one piece?
Has The Ark been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, The Ark has been renewed for a second season according to Syfy.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point. We could see the story progress in any number of ways, with there likely to be another extended run of episodes.

Great show and deserves another season or 3. I’m never into any SYFY ever and I came across this and binged all the episodes that were out and waited each week for the rest. That was torture lol. Some of the iffy acting is still tolerable and they’re not such big roles yet. It can get better.

I’m actually watching this for the 2nd time, because I love it! There’s very little today on Syfi channel or scifi series or movies coming out these days. I don’t know what’s wrong with these so called GDF idiots who think they know more than US, the viewers, to go and cancel these very good shows. All the good ones are gone so only watching the re-runs of them on streaming. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL. Go for several more seasons at least and make US happy!!!!!
I get really tired of other folks picking apart certain aesthetics, and ensuring that the rest of us can’t enjoy it either. Sure cgi wasn’t the best. Some of the acting could be tightened up. But it’s a good show. I look forward to it. Loads of really good shows are being dumped and I can’t figure out why. Raised by wolves, OA, and mind hunter come to mind immediately. Let me keep the ark. Pleeeezzzzz

I think Garnet is Great!!! I am impressed with all the actors except the episode where the guy that made the arks and his wife came into story their lines were dumb and acting wasn’t very good.

With lot of choices competing to get our 24×7 time schedule, the Arc got my attention just standing in one among the 10 other show list. I clicked it with an expectation to navigate just for a couple minutes & then go back to surfing the rest of the list. And…I went back to the list, only after I finished the entire season. You know how many TV series can create that effect with the viewers? You got a good series on your hands. Just need to couple of tinkering with the few replacements of the cast & improving CGI, that’s all. With lots of other series failing with great cast & CGIs, Ark can easily be repaired with few key decisions & can see a long run.
Ok seriously I don’t watch to many series but something about this one just has me loving it. I say give them bigger budget for better cgi, keep the cast the same, and renew it of a 2nd and 3rd season.

Definitely a second and third season.
Show needs a real ending one way or another. Historically a lot of shows didn’t become “great” until the second season and this one deserves a chance as it has a decent cast whose acting is improving and different storyline than many. Frankly, it’s a lot better than many shows these days and I’d like to see another season if only to wrap it up.
Next best thing to the stargate series so hoping for a second season!!!

I hope they renew for a second season. The story so far has been great in setting up both individual character development and interactions between them. The story has been intriguing and keeps me coming back week after week.
I really find the show interesting. Communication between crew members is realistic of what exchanges would actually be like on a spaceship…people laugh, get along and people argue and don’t see eye to eye on everything..I hope there is a second season.. buy syfy is notorious for canceling good shows!
As a fan of sci-fi series such as Battlestar Galactica Star wars ect I rather enjoy the series it would hate to see it ends after one season as someone mentioned the first season usually a buildup introducing your characters letting people know what is going on in the characters environment this series does just that but also very fast-paced action if there is a season 2 I will definitely be watching
It’s a good series. I don’t understand those who ask for more than “Garnet”. It is solid. She’s not uncalculated (she can’t be – she’s upgraded), she’s more human than other people, even though she’s a clone, so I don’t know what they expected from her, to poke her head and disappear in the form of a fog? I want a second season!

Most new Sci-Fi series need a little time to find their niche and develop their plot. I have thoroughly enjoyed the direction the show is moving and the CGI is just fine for a Sci-Fi series without a big budget. I can’t tell you how many sci-fi series we have begun watching only to have them disappoint us by pulling out the plug (Defiance and Warehouse 13). If they don’t give this at least a second season I think I may just stop watching sci-fi channel all together as I invest my time in watching just to find it’s been canceled even though viewer numbers seem pretty good.
It has been a great to watch as suspicions &thrill have progressed since the series pilot. It is a survival of the fittest but why Ark 15 is the biggest enemy (don’t know yet) … keep up for 2nd season
Sci-fi? Sci-drama. It is watching a bunch of teens in high school on board a ship. They are killing sci-fi with this teen drama. I expect more from Glassner. This is what I expect from Devlin. Drama in a series is ok. But take a hint from the great Sci-fi series, Stargate SG1, SGA, SGU, Star trek, The Expanse, Killjoys, Battlestar Galactica. Step up your game guys, unless you don’t care about a season 2. The Ark had promis to be a good series. It looks more like Independence day 2, a joke.
I think they should boot Garnet and put someone else in charge! The actress playing Garnet is Horrendous! I knew the show may start slow but with her acting style she is stunting the shows growth.
i’m very much enjoying the show. It’s hard to get me interested in a new sci fi series but this one I really like. While the show’s science is weak and the CG not state of the art, many of the episodes have been very engaging and I like the premise, even though it’s not really a new idea. I’m aware there has been lots of criticism leveled at the show, but let’s not forget, Star Trek The Next Generation was awful its first season, but was given a chance to develop…
I will be very disappointed if there is no Season Two.
Considering I grew up with the original Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. CGI doesn’t bug me. I’ve watched one episode and I’m already hooked. I think they should give it a chance. Shows come and go too quickly. Shows need at least 2 or 3 seasons to get a chance to advertise and track viewers. I just heard it about it a month after it began. I’m hoping it gets renewed. There aren’t that many good shows on to watch anymore.
My wife and I truly enjoy the show and prefer a good story to great cgi. Maybe we’re old-fashioned but we like watching on demand then stopping the show to discuss and make predictions about the characters and their future developmen.
The Ark is a good show. I enjoyed it and want a season 2 I think the show has good potential.
That was the best show I’ve seen so far compared to Chicago fire Chicago med and Chicago PD the ark is one of my favorites I really hope they continue with another season
I agree that some of the acting is glitchy, but most good shows start off a little slow/bumpy until they find their footing just to turn into something great. Like Startek Discovery, Farside, Serenity (gone too soon), just to name a few. I hope that the powers that be give this show a good shot to be something great.

Yes. I want another season. If you want to cancel a series YOU MUST END THE STORY ON A HAPPY NOTE. The list of cliffhangers in my head is too long for another.
