Todd makes a fresh start at the law firm and uses his instinct to bend the rules and get her mother’s clients out of trouble. More often than not, his unconventional style reaps big rewards for Margaret, who is always worried that he will land himself in trouble.

Has So Help Me Todd been renewed for Season 2?

Yes, So Help Me Todd has been renewed for a second season! CBS made the announcement back in October. Along with So Help Me Todd, the network also renewed Fire County and East New York.

The press release cites that the three shows make up the network’s top three most-watched television shows and that the executives were satisfied there is more to be enjoyed by the viewers. So Help Me Todd is ranked third in viewership for a new show with an average of 6.48 million viewers.

Kelly Kahl, the president of CBS Entertainment, said the following on the eve of the renewal. “We are thrilled to have the three most-watched new series, each with their own unique settings, characters and storylines. These dramas are elevating our already successful lineup, resonating with diverse audiences both on-air and on streaming, and continue to grow each week.” The news was also shared by the show’s Twitter handle.

What we know about Season 2 so far:

Since the format of the show is itself a new story every episode, there is not much to speculate here. CBS has yet to confirm if the cast members will come back for the next season. But we do not see much reason to drop anyone from the existing ensemble.

  2. The writer has already said that there will be a wedding in season 2. Could it be Susan and Peter, Susan and Todd or Margert and that lawyer she keeps going
    against. With what’s been happening in Season There is no clear guess who will be at the alter.

  5. This is the only website I’m seeing So Help Me Todd as being renewed. I looked at a list of shows that have been renewed on a CBS website. So Help Me Todd wasn’t listed as renewed or canx. I like the show alot. What I don’t like is the way TV scheduling is today. Short seasons. We never know if shows are renewed or if we will see them again. I don’t know how networks expect to find an audience with this tacky way of programming.

    A little known fact to add is that Marcia Gay Harden’s father graduated from El Paso High School in El Paso, Texas. He went to high school with my late mother-in-law. They were friends.
