Love In Fairhope is the latest reality series on Hulu, complete with lots of drama, sizzling confrontations and similarities to other shows of its nature, so fans of these sort of shows will fit right in.

With the season now over, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know so far:

What is Love In Fairhope about?

Love In Fairhope is a reality series, although a lot of its drama and issues are scripted. The Hulu series predominantly centers on five generations of women’s lives, which are then chronicled across the 9 episodes. As the official synopsis reads: In this community, everybody knows each other’s business, but nobody knows where hopelessly passionate hopes, passions, and inspiration will lead them all.

Although it claims to be the first real-life romantic drama, in reality the show is very similar to the style seen in The Hills and Vanderpump Rules. The latter of which, actually has the same production company involved in the creation of this one too. 

Has Love In Fairhope been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Hulu have not renewed Love In Fairhope for a second season, although it’ll be interesting to see if this one does get the green-light, given how popular reality TV is.

Generally Hulu, like other streaming platforms, gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton etc.) Other times, it can take months before a decision is made over a show’s future.

Love In Fairhope has had a very mixed reaction so far from fans and critics alike, with lots liking the drama but others not happy with the contrived nature of the scripting. 

However, these reality shows are very cheap to make and they do generally get a good number of eyeballs on them. Given the financial situation of Disney and Hulu, we predict that this will be renewed for a follow-up season, although we will update this section when we learn more!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Not much is known about season 2 at the time of writing, given Hulu have not officially renewed this one yet. Should the streamers decide to greenlight this one then of course we’ll see all our familiar characters return and cause more chaos and drama! As highlighted above, we think this is going to be renewed and hopefully we get an answer sooner rather than later!

  4. Oh Lord, my heart is broken that this story may not continue! I binged it in one day and am sooo sorry I did not savor it. PLEASE bring season 2 to us, I fell in love with all the gals and want to know how they are doing! This place is gorgeous too. God bless you all.

  5. Love the show! I normally don’t watch stuff like this, lol, but I’m originally from the town next to Fairhope. It was so cool seeing all the local hangouts. Made me realize how much I miss it there and how beautiful it really is. I’m hoping for a season 2! I need to see what happens!

    I don’t know where it is but the scenery is gorgeous. Love all the couples, hey Abby good for you for kicking Trevor to the curb. Lashoundra you are amazing, it’s about time Nick confessed his love for Mya Jo and hers for him. PLEASE BRING season 2 on now I can’t wait any longer❣️

  10. Love this show! I binged it and now I’m sad because there is no season 2 out and I need to know what happens!! I love that people and the town and the Magnolia Ball!!! I want to know about Maya Jo & Nick, (Bye Baylee) about Abby & Trevor & Fiancé, about Lashoundra & the baby… what will happen with her & Kendall??? I love Claiborne and her story & Olivia and her mom buying the bed & breakfast! So much to seeeeee!!! Hulu please bring this one back & soon!

  13. I love this show so much! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring it back, again and again.we don’t have enough shows that a true and heart warming like this particular show is.
    I even started thinking we would would move there to live out our golden years.

  16. I would LOVE to see this show renewed! I hear the noise about scripting, etc., but it is a fun show, the people are interesting and we want to see the storylines/their lives play out a bit more!

    Oh Abby! Flash that ring but really? You didn’t follow Trevor? Take a hint from MJ; that town is as much a part of love for the people in it as their love interests!

  18. I love the show!!! I actually think I watched the episodes to fast since there’s not a season 2. Very disappointing… please bring it back.

  21. I loved the show!! It’s should be renewed for more seasons!! I live in Orange Beach and it’s so fun to see the restaurants and shops I’ve frequented on tv!!!!!
