After completing all episodes in Season 1, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s everything we know about season 2:

What is House of Ninjas Season 1 about?

House of Ninjas is a Japanese series that follows the Tawara family, the last ninja clan. The clan have long abandoned their ninja roots, but an incident happens, calling the dysfunctional family to take up their duty and tackle a great crisis like none seen before.

Has House of Ninjas been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Netflix has not renewed House of Ninjas for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.

Despite the ratings, it’s rare to find Japanese Netflix original dramas renewed for another season unless they’re super popular like Alice in Borderland. Even with the sheer wealth of talent in this that is sure to move onto other projects, we predict that House of Ninjas will be renewed for a second season.

We’ll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 right now. Given most Japanese dramas are reserved for one season, it’s rare to find these sorts of shows renewed. With the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Blue Eye Samurai ), this one is likely to be renewed.

This is not a limited series, so we are hopeful we might get a second season.  We still have so many questions, like what happens to the agency with Fuma in charge? Does Haru ever contact Karen again? Why do the Fuma want the Constitution revised?   Does the Tawara family ever recover from Gaku’s betrayal?

  1. I loved every episode of this series. So I’m really hoping for a second, third, fourth and even a fifth season!!!!COMON NETFLIX JAPAN!!!!! For season 2 they should do more of those amazing fight scenes, it was really on point and clean clean clean choreography. We need more action series like this on NETFLIX.

  6. Wonderful show and looking forward to season 2. Netflix increased the budget for Asian dramas. This show needs to be on the project board.

  8. Wow, used to watch the Samurai on tv years ago, totally loved all the sword and ninja action. This series is brilliant, but so much left up in the air, oh please yes Netflix a second season, so glad to see such a great Japanese show that includes an amazing part of their history.

  13. Yes to season 2 to the house of ninjas. It’s all hanging… but sadly many shows aren’t not renewed for whatever reason so I don’t have much faith in #netflix sadly…

  19. Please do a season 2! What happens after Gaku becomes the leader of Fuma? Does Riku become a full Shinobi? Would like to see more of the grandmother and her friend that talk without speaking? Will mom and dad have to kill their own son or will it be Naji? Cant wait for another season?

  21. I just finished the season. I really love this type of work. Will Karen ever be back? What Gaku? There’s so much more to questions that needs closure. I need more seasons please! From North Dakota.

  22. SECOND SEASON, PLEASE! Too many stories left hanging, need answers. Want to see more of this family, especially Haru. Don’t let us down Netflix.

  25. Just watched season one and found it exciting extremely enjoyable and a pleasure to watched. Good story line good action hope we see a season 2 and more if possible. All the characters blended well together. The grandmother was brilliant well played etc. so please do renew.

  26. I hope to see a second season of House of Ninjas, and, if the quality holds, even a third.
    I find the character development engaging and the actors compelling, the story line gripping as well as promising for what plot twists may follow. The action is well-blocked and choreographed, fascinating to watch.I want to also honor the writers, director(s), and crew.
    While I look forward to more of all of this, I must say that I am in LOVE with the
    “Master Grandmother” as one of the key players, and take immense pleasure in arc of her character (beautifully played) and of the portrayal of the gem of relationships between the two strong, clever elder women. A rare treat not to be missed. I watch with English closed caption. Please don’t dub!! I wish I could appreciate the Blooper/out-takes reel, but do not speak Japanese 🙁
    I have the sense that this is a production team that enjoys working with one-another, and wicked be surprised were it otherwise, given the quality of the first season.
