Ragna Crimson – Season 1 Episode 11 Recap & Review

Tactics and Knowledge

Episode 11 of Ragna Crimson Season 1 begins with Ragna demonstrating and explaining his Silverine’s principles to Starlia and her subordinates. Starlia asks her subordinates to bring all their weapons to Ragna so he can infuse them with his Silverine. While infusing Starlia’s men’s weapons with Silverine, Ragna recalls a discussion he had with Crimson. Crimson suggests Ragna infuse their weapons with half of his Silverine and keep half for himself.

Crimson orders Ragna not to use his Silverine Battle Arts during the upcoming battle since nothing good will come from it. After infusing more warriors’ weapons, we cut to a few of Starlia’s highly skilled subordinates conversing with each other about the situation. Two of them are upset while a warrior named Chris says he’s okay with the infusion process since he’s got a powerful weapon from it. Chris argues Ragna’s a talented warrior while another subordinate thinks otherwise.

A comrade named Shin plans to challenge Ragna multiple times to prove his worth. After experiencing his seventh loss, Shin lies on the ground defeated while two twin warriors approach Ragna and ask him to share his thoughts about Starlia. Ragna gives them a casual response and the girls show them their guns. They’re looking forward to him infusing their bullets with Silverine. Suddenly, Slime appears and pokes fun at the girls for looking like dragons.

They escort him to an undisclosed location and share a tale about their tragic lives with him. Then, they torture Slime for his crude comments and acknowledge that they’re choosing to be angry with him. We cut to another group of subordinates who are struggling with their teleportation circle task. One of them spots Crimson and asks him why he’s here. Crimson acknowledges their struggles with this task and argues he can help them overcome this trial with his input.

We cut to Olto and the other superior dragons discussing what they must achieve with this plan of theirs. He says they must destroy the country and defeat Ragna and his pals. Kamui says he plans to take care of Ragna and his friends himself and Olto and him argue for a bit about it. Nebulim intervenes and says Ragna and his pals will come to them. Olto praises Nebulim for his maturity and tells Kamui he should act more like him. Olto tells Ultimatia that he can count on her for the country-destroying phase of the plan.

However, Olto doesn’t plan on killing the humans mercifully like Ultimatia wanted. Ultimatia says she’s fine with that as long as Olto can get the job done. Olto asks Tara to provide input in their discussion. The episode closes with Tara telling his comrades to fulfill their duties and not fail like the others they’ve lost along the way.

The Episode Review

This episode of Ragna Crimson was a set-up chapter to the fullest degree. While it gives fans some insight into the minds of most of Starlia and Ultimatia’s subordinates, it solely focuses on both parties discussing their plans for the upcoming battle. Nonetheless, fans will adore seeing these supporting characters receive depth though we don’t receive too much.

From the twins to Olto and Kamui’s grievances with each other, these scenes should help audiences foster some interest in these characters. Hopefully, they’ll receive a defining moment or two in this impending bout that’ll help them stand out. Additionally, one of the soldiers brings up a solid point about Ragna’s character that’ll make viewers think for a bit.

Although Ragna showcased impressive feats, he didn’t work diligently for the power he has now. Many fans will empathize with this soldier’s qualms with Ragna as many viewers would’ve preferred seeing Ragna put in the effort to achieve the power he currently holds. At the same time, Ragna accomplished many heroic feats due to lucking out.

Either way, it was compelling to see the series address Ragna’s achievement. Overall, this was a decent episode of Ragna Crimson. I’m hopeful this upcoming battle between Ultimatia and Starlia’s forces will be worth waiting for.
