Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to this February as not only is Disney+ debuting the latest Black Panther movie, but they are also celebrating its release with two brand-new documentaries. Also released this month is a new comedy series starring Jesse Eisenberg and a behind-the-scenes documentary focussing on BTS member j-Hope and the making of his new album.

1st February
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
This sequel to 2018’s Black Panther is both a thrilling MCU adventure and a fitting tribute to Chadwick Boesman and the iconic character that he successfully brought to the screen. Just as cinemagoers worldwide had to find ways to move on after grieving the beloved actor’s passing, so too do the Wakandans who have to embrace the next chapter in their life without him. They also have to protect their kingdom from a new threat – a group of blue-skinned water-breathing superhumans led by Namor, aka the Sub-Mariner!
The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder: Season 2 (Premiere)
Building on the success of the first animated series, season 2 will continue to tell hilarious stories while also highlighting cultural-specific experiences that relate to the Black community. Topics touched upon this season include self-worth, interracial dating, and Juneteenth (the day in the American calendar that commemorates the end of slavery in the US).
4th February
Tokyo Revengers: Season 2 (New Episode)
The second season of the popular Japanese anime show about a young man named Takemichi Hanagaki who tries to rewrite history and save his girlfriend from being murdered when he gains the opportunity to travel back into the past.
8th February
Marvel Studios’ Assembled: The Making of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
After watching the movie, which debuts on Disney+ this month, you can learn more about the making of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever through behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the cast and crew.
10th February
Dug Days: Carl’s Date
In this special animated short from Pixar, Up protagonist, Carl Frederickson, reluctantly agrees to go on a date with a lady friend. Unfortunately, he has no idea how modern dating works so his talking dog Dug steps in to calm Carl’s pre-date jitters with a few tried and tested tips for making friends.

j-hope IN THE BOX
This behind-the-scenes documentary special focuses on BTS sensation j-Hope and the creative challenges he faced as he worked to release his first-ever solo album.
22nd February
Fleishman Is In Trouble (Limited Series)
In this adaptation of the novel of the same name, Jesse Eisenberg stars as the recently divorced Toby Fleishman, a man who has to balance the world of app-based dating with parenting duties when his ex-wife goes MIA after leaving him with his kids. Lizzy Caplan, Claire Danes, and Adam Brody also star in this enjoyably quirky mini-series.
Call It Love
The latest K-drama to debut on Disney+ follows the story of Sim Woojoo (Lee Sung-kyung), a young woman who is kicked out of her family’s home by her late father’s mistress. She then falls in love with Dongjin (Kim Young-kwang), the mistress’s son, who is as exhausted with the harsh realities of life as she is.
Voices Rising: The Music Of Wakanda Forever
After checking out the Black Panther 2 ‘making of’ documentary, you might be interested in this second doc which explores the movie’s soundtrack. An array of international artists from South Africa, Mexico and Nigeria, including Burna Boy, Snow Tha Product, E-40, and Stormzy, bring the music of Marvel’s latest movie to life.
