The Killer 2
The Killer is a 2023 Netflix movie by David Fincher of Fight Club and Gone Girl fame. It stars Michael Fassbender in the titular role with an exciting cameo by Tilda Swinton. A revenge thriller based on the French comics Le Tueur, The Killer is a dark and gritty story as an ageing assassin’s world is turned upside down after a job gone wrong.
Well, if you have seen it, like every other viewer, you may be looking for its sequel. But will there be The Killer 2? Or is there little chance of a follow-up film? Here’s what we know at the time of writing.

What is The Killer about?
The Killer is a dark thriller that focuses on an unnamed killer who messes up an important job in Paris. He runs home to find his lover, Magdala attacked and gathers that the client has organised a blowback to punish him. Furious, the Killer decides to enact revenge, taking out everyone in his path including his handler, the sub-contractors who hurt Magdala as he gets closer and closer to the client, Claybourne.

Will there be a The Killer 2?
At the time of writing, a sequel to The Killer has not been announced.
However, the production companies involved have made several sequels like Kick-Ass 2 and Beetlejuice 2. Netflix too announces sequels to their Originals depending on the popularity, views and drop-off rates. So, if The Killer does well in theatres and on Netflix, we could very well get a sequel.
What could happen in The Killer 2?
There is a lot that can happen in the sequel despite The Killer getting a happy ending. First and foremost, it is based on a comic book series, so more adaptations can be made. The Killer too has a couple of loose strings such as the client coming back for revenge, the cops catching on or the Paris target looking for the Killer.
We also wouldn’t mind an anthology series with each movie looking at a different assassin such as Tilda Swinton’s Expert. So, if there are plans for The Killer 2, there are ample ways the story can move forward.
Of course, this is all speculation as there has been no official news regarding a second movie. Keep an eye out for this section as we will update readers if there is any news.
