Gu Won is a charming, calculating and suave chaebol heir, part of the King Group that owns a luxury hotel. He hates those who are insincere and put on a fake smile.

In comes the hotelier Cheon Sa-rang whose name literally means love. She is all smiles and tries to put her best foot forward as she is told Gu Won will be working closely with her. Of course, this puts them at odds as Sa-rang doesn’t know how to please her boss while Gu Won is not sure why she keeps getting under his skin.

King The Land has been on everyone’s radar ever since JTBC’s casting announcement as it stars 2nd-gen K-pop idols YoonA of Girls’ Generation and Lee Junho of 2PM who have been taking the acting industry by storm with their K-dramas. They first showed off their chemistry by hosting one of 2022’s year-end music festivals, MBC Gayo Daejejeon garnering much interest in King The Land.
