Ishura – Season 1 Episode 7 Recap & Review

War Commences

Episode 7 begins with Soujirou and Yuno scouting the borders along with Aureatia’s soldiers when they encounter Shalk and Higuare. A melee fight erupts between Shalk and Soujirou and Shalk is the one to initiate the fight. Soujirou takes a hit, injuring his shoulder during the fight. Higarou kills off all the guards using his multiple arms but leaves behind Yuno. He forces her to ride a horse back to Lithia to transport him.

Hidow and Harghent are strategizing when a powerful beam is unleashed on Aureatia, burning a hole through the wall and causing havoc. This beam threatens the safety of the civilians and makes it harder to fight back.

Hidow learns that none of the scout group survived and assumes Soujirou has also perished. Hidow has also sent Kuze on the assassination mission. They anticipate the invasion by Taren’s Wyverns. Harghent insists he uses his troops to counter the Wyverns as they are skilled in Arial combat, but Hidow doesn’t approve of the idea as he has another plan in mind.

Hidow makes radio contact with Nihilo who is awaiting orders to move out. He instructs her to bring down the Wyverns, but spare the soldiers. The guards hesitantly give her access to her giant spider and she takes position in it, ready to fight.

The Episode Review

Entering this chapter, the series has completed all character introductions, and we approach the beginning of the war between Aureatia and Lithia. Both sides seem to have assembled some incredibly strong heroes, and the diversity and uniqueness of their skills will make it an interesting watch.

For now, we see the first fight erupt between Soujirou and Shalk. The fighters seem honorable as Higuare could easily help Shalk out against Soujirou, but he chose to return to Lithia. It seems like there is a complete misalignment of interest of the state and the fighters which can give rise to numerous complications in the course of the war.

For now, Lithia appears to be in a better position with a tremendously powerful attack unleashed. Aureatia isn’t too far behind, as Hidow has deployed Soujirou, Kuze, and Nihilo on different missions to fight Lithia.
