Citadel, Amazon’s next big show, is an action-packed spy series. The show revolves around Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, who belonged to an elite spy organisation named Citadel before it was forced to disband and have their memories erased. When a new world-threatening danger arises, the agents must find their way back to who they used to be.

Citadel has big names on screen and behind the camera. David Weil is the showrunner while the iconic Russo brothers are executive producers. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas play the charismatic main leads while Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville are part of the supporting cast.

The show is meant to be a global franchise with this season being the ‘mothership’. It is then set to have international spin-offs in a number of countries including Italy, India, Spain and Mexico, where each series will be made in the local language.

Citadel Season 1 will premiere on the 28th April 2023, with the first two episodes dropping on the same day. Thereafter episodes will be released each Friday. Season 1 Episode 5 will release on 19th May at 12 am (ET). This means it will be available at 4 am (GMT) and at 9.30 am (IST).

Citadel Season 1 will feature 6 episodes. After the first two releases on the 28th of April, one episode will be released every Friday until the 26th of May.

What happened in Episode 4?

Nadia and Mason break into the Manticore black site and find Carter Spence but he accuses Nadia of betraying Citadel. A flashback shows that Abby was Celeste, a new Citadel spy who was sent undercover to find out about the Silje brother’s new technology — the Oz Key, which can hack into any country’s systems.

The mission goes awry and Mason sends an ops team to shut it down but they lose the Oz Key. He suspects Celeste and has her memories erased secretly. But Carter Spence reveals Mason’s true suspicions, that Nadia is the real mole.
