Lee Dong-Wook is a man of many talents. He is an actor, host, model, entertainer, and a man whose smile melts our hearts. It doesn’t matter which role he is playing, he always mesmerizes viewers with his outstanding performances. His roles in drama series and movies are always top-notch, so to celebrate his accomplishments, here is our list of his top drama series!


Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016-2017)

Gong Yoo is an immortal goblin who was cursed by the almighty after killing soldiers who fought for their country. The goblin has to meet his bride who can remove the sword from his chest to end his immortality.

Lee Dong-Wook plays the grim reaper and the reincarnated king Wang Yeo in, but he has no memory of his past life. He falls in love with a young girl who was his wife in their past life. This is a story of individuals with intertwined pasts that makes for a great watch.


The Tale of the Nine-Tailed (2020)

Lee Dong-Wook takes the role of Lee Yeon who was the guardian mountain spirit but now dwells in the city to protect the humans from supernatural beings who cause harm. In one of his missions in the city, he discovers Nam Ji-ah, a curious producer who records him using his powers to fight foxes. He later found out that the girl was the reincarnation of his first lover.

His half-brother is not happy with their reunion, so he decides to antagonize his brother by hunting and killing humans in the city. They face challenges in both the human and the supernatural world.  The next season is set to come out in 2023 and viewers can barrel contain their excitement.


Bad and Crazy (2021-2022)

In this drama, Lee Dong- Wook pushed his acting boundaries and once again, exploring new territories. He acts as Su-yeol, a detective with questionable ethics who is suffering from a split personality. His second harbors a sense of justice and a righteous person.

This is an intense drama with many comedic scenes, perfectly-executed action scenes, and just a touch of romance that viewers tend to enjoy. 


Touch Your Heart (2019)

The story of Oh Jin Shim, a top actress who loses her fame to a drug scandal and is forced to do anything possible to earn her fame back. Kwon Jung-Rok(Lee Dong-Wook) is a lawyer who deeply cares about his reputation and his firm. Oh Jin Shim has a chance to play a major role but she has to pose as Kwon Jung -Rok’s secretary. Jin Shim and Jung-Rok come from two different worlds so what happens when their lives and hearts collide?


Strangers From Hell (2019)

The story of a writer, Yoon Jong-Woo who gets a job offer at his friend’s company and settles in Eden dormitory for its cheap charges. Yoon Jong-Woo meets his neighbor,  Seo Moon-jo, in room 304, a handsome and friendly dentist. Yoon Jong-Woo later discovers that things are not what they seem to be in the Eden dormitory. Everyone is in on a deadly secret and the studio’s residents have more to them.


My Girl (2005)

The classic tale of forbidden love is the theme in this drama. Joo Yoo-rin is a girl who lives with her gambling father who has burdened them with a lot of debts.  She meets Seol Gong-Chan played by Lee Dong-Wook, the heir to the L’Avenue hotel fortune. Seol Gong-Chan hires her to act as their long-lost granddaughter for his dying grandfather. Miraculously the grandfather is happy to meet his long-lost granddaughter that he recovers. Seol Gong-Chan and Joo Yoo-rin are forced to live in the same house as they develop feelings for each other yet they have to maintain their relationships as cousins.
