Kim Minjae is a talented South Korean actor and rapper who has enthralled viewers with his soft smile and ability to deliver on any character since 2014. His diverse charms have seen his popularity grow throughout the years. If you are yet to watch some of his best works, don’t worry. Dali And The Cocky Prince (2021)

In this romantic comedy, Minjae plays the role of Jin Moo-hak, the director of Dondon F&B. He is a man who has risen from poverty through hard work and hard-core determination. He meets Dali and events in her life, leaves her credited to him.

As they navigate their debtor-creditor relationship they begin falling in love but they need to overcome a few challenges. Personally, this is his best work yet, it is no wonder he received the Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards for his role. Do you like Brahms? (2020)

Do You Lie Brahms is a beautiful drama that intertwines music and romance as students of classical music try to navigate the journey of lifeto find their happiness. In this romance drama, Minjae plays the role of a talented pianist who ends up falling for Chae Song-ah (played by Park Eun Bin).

Kim Minjae in real life is a talented musician, he studied composition and piano-playing at a music academy in middle school. This drama allowed fans to see his musical side in a new light. His great chemistry with Park Eun Bin led to them winning the Best Couple award at the 2020 SBS Drama Awards and also the Excellence Award and Best Actor in a Miniseries within the Fantasy/Romance genre.


Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency(2019)

This was Minjae’s first leading role after signing up with a new agency. He did not disappoint and brought the character of Ma Hoon to life. Ma hoon is the son of Ma Bong-deok (Chief State Councillor) but instead of following in his father’s political steps, he sets up Joseon’s most successful marriage agency called Flower Crew.

Although he is the best matchmaker in Joseon he is a cold man but that changes when he meets his match in the wild and stubborn Gae-ttong. Gae-ttong will challenge him and make him see life from a new perspective. However, the new king is also in love with Gae-ttong. Who will win her heart in the end?


Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist(2022)

Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist is a medical romance comedy drama where Minjae plays the role of Yoo Se-yeop. He is a talented acupuncturist and medical practitioner. His talent enables him to rise in the ranks and become the head acupuncturist for the royal family but unfortunately, he is caught up in a conspiracy.

The king dies when he was treating him and this leads to traumatic events in his life. He is expelled from the palace and he meets a peculiar teacher, Gye Ji-han who helps him overcome his medical trauma. He also meets Seo Eun-woo and together they overcome their traumas. 


Tempted (2018)

This is a romantic melodrama, Minjae partners up with Moon Ga Young(who plays Choi Su-ji) and Woo Do-hwan(who plays Kwon Si-hyeon) and takes the roles of over-indulged children from wealthy families. Kim Minjae plays Lee Se-ju, a casanova chaebol who is best friends with Su-ji and Si-hyeon.

They come up with a plan to humiliate a fellow female college student but things go awry when Si-hyeon falls in love with her. Se-ju also falls in love with Su-ji, straining their friendship further. How far will they take their plan and how will this dangerous game of love end?


Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016)

In this fantasy romance drama, Minjae plays a supporting role as the young Wang Yeo. Wang Yeo is the young king who was corrupted by his greed and desire for more power under the influence of his evil eunuch. In the end, he kills his loyal general, Kim Shin (played by Gong Yoo), and his wife.

He later ends up crazy and commits suicide and is reincarnated as the grim reaper (played by Lee Dong Wook). His role as the young king in this hit drama garnered Minjae critical acclaim and propelled him into more recognition.


Dr. Romantic (2016, 2020)

This is a medical romance drama released in 2016. In this drama, Minjae plays the role of Park Eun-tak who is a nurse at the Doldam Hospital. He became a nurse after a life-changing encounter with Teacher Kim while he was a patient. He also has a crush on a staff member named Woo Yeon-hwa. Minjae’s portrayal of nurse Eun-Tak led to him winning the New Star Award at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards. He later reprised his role in Dr. Romantic 2 in 2020.
