A Faceless Feather

After a debrief over at the Bureau, follow Roshan and talk to her up at the rooftop. She will give you your next task – assassinating the treasurer.

Gilded Butterflies

The first port of call is to find intel in the Bazaar regarding the Treasurer’s Identity. Head inside the Bazaar and follow Kong, who will call you over. He has intel but he won’t give it up for free. He wants his ceramic saucer back from Luca.

In order to get Kong’s gear back, follow the marker over to the doorway and into Luca’s stash. Pull the shelf all the way back and climb up. Grab one of the fire vases and throw one at the wall. This will allow us to push the shelf out.

Push it back to the doorway we just entered, climb up and onto a secret level above.

Once up here, interact with the Beautiful Plate, read the letter on the table opposite and unbar the door. Before exiting, return to the area we just climbed up and jump over to the other side. If you have a token, you’ll be able to open the chest and reveal some gear.

When you’re done, return the plate to Kong. He’ll reveal that the Treasurer is likely a visitor from the East.

Using your senses, return to the area where we saved the Perfume Merchant and head up the stairs on the right. At the top, sit on the bench and eavesdrop on the two women talking.

When they pass, stay close but not too close to be detected. Follow the woman as she heads inside a house and sit on the bench to eavesdrop.

After this, go inside and talk to the mysterious woman. Basim will ask about the perfume, and the woman will introduce herself as Qabiha. She brings up the ingredients for the perfume, the same one that we smelled on the letter earlier in the quarters, and she’ll mention that the iron is actually blood. Curious.

We also learn that the Treasurer is female and her name is Ning. With this crucial intel, head round the Bazaar until you find a merchant that wants you to follow him upstairs. If you get stuck, simply use your senses to highlight the man in orange.

Upstairs, the Merchant will bring up how the hairpin is one of the items up for auction. With this, head out the window and down to the ground floor. Proceed forward and attend the auction.

While sitting at the auction, begin bidding on the hairpin but the chances are, it will become too expensive and you’ll have to sit this one out. The Treasurer will show too and oversee proceedings.

In order to get the hairpin back, we now need to steal it from the merchant. In order to do that, climb up the blue-tarped stall and hang on the railing. Sneak round from the left, being careful to stay crouched, and collect the hairpin before the merchant knows any better.

With the Hairpin collected, go and speak to the Treasurer. Speak to the guard outside and he’ll explain that you can’t get in without an Ivory Coin’s brooch.

Turn round and head south east. Use your senses and you’ll discover a Spice Merchant who mentions an Ivory Coin.

Bribe the merchant and turn round to find the brooch on a higher level overlooking the Bazaar (pictured below)

Head up and you’ll find the Ivory Coin’s Brooch inside an office. You can actually drop down from the rooftops for easy access, or alternatively you can fight your way through from the ground, it’s your choice.

With the Brooch in hand, return to the guard. Follow the Servant past all the guards and wait for the treasurer to arrive. We need to assassinate Ning so your best bet is to bide your time. When you’re allowed to head inside, interact and show off the hairpin.

A short cutscene wil ensue, where Ning will try to assassinate you but if you’ve made it this far, you’ll get the jump on her first.

A Grand End

With the Treasurer dead, return to Rebekah over at the Bureau for this very brief chapter. After the cutscene, Roshan will encourage you to rest and remind you that your work is not done just yet.
