Am I Actually The Strongest? – Season 1 Episode 11 Recap & Review

I Got Myself Mixed Up With So Many People…

In episode 11 of Am I Actually The Strongest? we first see Haruto on the first day of school, dreading having to sit through any lectures. Based on his test scores, Haruto has been placed in the C-ranked class, which represents the average percentile.

Additionally, Charlotte tells Haruto that she deliberately chose challenging courses for him. Haruto then makes up his mind that he will use the fact that he is being assigned difficult classes to his advantage by deliberately underperforming in them in order to get expelled.

When Haruto arrives in the capital, he meets Iris, who is one of the test’s top scorers and is therefore enrolled in the highest A class. Following that, they split up and head to their different divisions.

At the beginning of the lecture, Haruto’s lecturer introduces a test that will determine whether the students in the target group should be moved up or down a level. Haruto breezes through the exam owing to the knowledge he gained from Charlotte’s lessons.

Haruto is now convinced that the professor gave them a simple test to make them feel good about themselves. Haruto resolves to keep things ordinary during the test so as not to raise suspicions. Because of this, he is now enrolled in the A class and given a grade of 60%.

Haruto’s new professor is taken aback by the young man on his first day of class. The professor is really impressed with Haruto’s response to one of her questions. However, he turns down her offer to join her study team.

When Haruto’s duplicate and Iris show up for the study they signed up for, the professor discusses Schneidel and the old barrier magic employed on him. When the professor begins to suspect that Haruto is behind the magic, the real Haruto appears in disguise as Shiva.

The professor can’t contain her enthusiasm at finally meeting Shiva. Despite Haruto’s refusal to reveal his true identity, she continues to probe him with questions. Following that, he offers Schneidel healing if he stops the duel.

Shiva uses a barrier magic spell on the professor, rendering her immobile. Shiva refuses to let the professor use the washroom until he guarantees that she won’t investigate his true identity. Seeing no other option, the professor agrees to stop investigating his true identity, and Haruto lets her go.

The Episode Review

In this segment, Haruto experiences what he has been fearing for a very long time: his very first day of school. Haruto wishes to be expelled from school, but instead, he attracts the unwanted attention of his new teacher.

This episode is just as tedious to watch as the season’s previous episodes. This episode, and the show as a whole, is an absolute disaster due to its meaningless plot, flat characters, and absence of a compelling antagonist.

More positively, the magic and the plot surrounding it are both really interesting. The story would have benefited if it had been expanded upon.

To put it mildly, our protagonist is incredibly unlikable, which instantly makes you lose interest in the show. He just wants to be left alone and live a solitary existence. This powerful character has no interesting backstory, no exciting adventures, and no vulnerabilities.

The penultimate episode also concludes on a somewhat subdued note. So far, this show has no redeeming qualities and no reason to tune in. While the pilot episode was slightly intriguing and hinted at an enjoyable adventure, the rest of the show has been a major letdown. It’s doubtful that the finale will redeem the show, but we can at least hope.
