X-Men ’97
X-Men ’97 is a sequel to the popular X-Men: The Animated Series (1992). The show will attempt to maintain the same feel, look (even though with a more modern animation style), and theme of the original. It’ll also have many characters people are familiar with, like Cyclops, Wolverine, and Rogue, while featuring new ones, like Sunspot. Even some of the voice actors will be the same as in the prequel.
It’ll pick up after the ending of Season 5, in which we saw Professor Xavier on the brink of death. X-Men ’97 will probably deal with disputes between Cyclops and Magneto, who will join the team. The trailer also shows Jean Grey is pregnant, which can lead to many popular stories from the comics. Another interesting part is the riot against mutants, which might mean the cartoon will present a heavier political side than usual.
All in all, one thing is for sure. If you are an X-Men or a comic book fan, this has a lot of potential to be one of your favourite shows of 2024.

X-Men ’97 Season 1 Episode 6 will be released on Wednesday 17th April at 12am (PT), 3am (ET), and 8am (GMT). The original language is English, but it will already be available in several others too.

What Happened In Episode 5?
Magneto, Rogue, and Gambit go to Genosha to celebrate it was accepted into the UN. Meanwhile, their love quarrel gets more intense there. However, they don’t know an even bigger threat looms on the horizon.
During a gala in Genosha, as Rogue tells Magneto she wants to stay with Gambit, Madelyne Pryor has a sudden vision. She meets Cable, who is desperate about something, and learns he is her son, Nathan. Unfortunately, he disappears before he can tell her anything. Suddenly, a powerful blast explodes the location.
An enormous and monstrous sentinel arrives at the nation and wreaks havoc. Magneto tries to protect everyone but becomes another victim while attempting to save the Morlocks. Then, Gambit sacrifices himself, letting the machine pierce his body so he can explode it. That leaves Rogue crying with his body in her arms while the few surviving mutants and the X-Men watch the tragedy.
