Revisiting Thoughts
Singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist JackLNDN has had quite the year. After releasing his album ‘Thoughts’ and accompanying that with a blinding tour, JackLNDN entrusted none other than fellow Brits Fluida (from Anjunadeep, Get Physical, Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried) and Frameworks (Emancipator’s Loci Records, First Word), to remix “With You” and “Unknown.”
Although the latter isn’t officially released yet (that drops on January 10th and is well worth a listen!), Fluida’s remix of “With You” is a lovely progressive record, one that builds piano chords up against a pulsating drum beat with some smooth lyrics to accompany it. It’s the perfect winter warmer too and a pretty decent remix in its own right. It’s available on Spotify, SoundCloud, iTunes and other streaming platforms so do give it a listen.
The track stands at around 7 minutes or so; a proper club mix with drum beats either side perfect for fellow DJs to beatmatch in to a warm-up set. Ultimately though, this is where With You is at its strongest. There’s an almost Cafe Del Mar vibe with this record and although I personally feel Frameworks’ remix of Unknown is the stronger effort, there’s enough here to make for a solid track nonetheless. If you’re looking for a chilled, progressive song to add to your deep house playlist, Fluida’s remix of jackLNDN’S “With You” should absolutely be on that list.
