Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the 7th movie in the series of action films that have been inspired by the popular toy range that launched in the early 80s.
Michael Bay’s first Transformers movie was a big hit with audiences in 2007 and it was critically well-received too. Unfortunately, the franchise declined in quality from them on, although the spin-off movie Bumblebee, which was released in 2018, did much to get the ailing series back on track, mainly because of its focus on character and story over mindless scenes of robotic mayhem (aka Bayhem).
The upcoming movie is a sequel to Bumblebee so here’s hoping it’s as good as that earlier release. All will be revealed when Transformers: Rise of the Beasts smashes into cinemas on its expected release date.
What is the plot of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts?
The new movie continues the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons but this time around, it throws other varieties of Transformers into the mix. These include the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons, three subgroups of Transformers that will be familiar to anybody who has seen Transformers: Beast Wars. These robots transform into animals and birds instead of vehicles and their origin will likely be explored in the movie.
Set seven years after the events of Bumblebee, this latest instalment in the franchise takes place in 1994 and follows Noah, an electronics expert, and Elena, an artefact researcher, who find themselves caught in the middle of the Ancient War between the various Transformer factions. Expect lots of explosive action during this globe-trotting adventure that takes place in such locations as New York and Peru.

The movie will be landing in cinemas on June 9, 2023.
