Tokyo Vice Season 2 Episode 4
HBO has brought Tokyo Vice back for another season. The engrossing crime drama delivered the goods in its first outing, thanks to an immersive portrait of the Japanese underworld.
Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe lead the cast once again in Season 2, which has now made its debut. JT Rogers is returning to the fore as the showrunner, while the director’s chair gets a clean slate.
We are excited to bring you coverage of all the episodes in Season 2 with episodic recaps and preview articles for each new episode, assisting you to keep up with the unfolding drama.
Here is everything you need to know about Tokyo Vice Season 2 Episode 4, including its release date, time, and where you can watch this.
Where Can I Watch Tokyo Vice Season 2?
Tokyo Vice Season 2 will be exclusively available to watch on HBO Max and HBO Go for our readers in the US, Latin America, and other major geographies in Europe. However, in Japan, the show will be streaming on Wowow. Elsewhere, for our readers in France, Canal+ will host the second season. Paramount+ will be distributing the show for the Australian continent.
Our readers in India can watch the show on Jio Cinema, who have an exclusive tie-up for HBO’s streaming and legacy content. The position of Season 2’s release is unclear at the moment for the UK and Ireland. While the first season is available to watch on BBC’s iPlayer, Starzplay had the first-window rights for that season. Expect the new episodes to come out on either of these platforms.
Tokyo Vice Season 2 Episode 4 Release Date
Tokyo Vice Season 2 Episode 4 will be released on Thursday, 22nd February at 9 pm (ET)/(PT). Expect the runtime to be roughly 51 minutes or thereabouts, which is consistent with the time frame for the first season. With more episodes, it is unlikely that the runtime will breach the hour mark on too many occasions like in the first season.
The show will stick to a weekly release schedule after the first two episodes have aired, tugging the Thursday airings at the same time mentioned above. Only a single episode will be released each week until the finale airs on 4 April.
The new episodes of Tokyo Vice do not have a specific title yet. However, we expect that to change going forward since the first two episodes in Season 2 had meaningful titles. The episode will be available to stream with subtitles. Its plot summary is currently not available.
How Many Episodes Will Tokyo Vice Have?
Tokyo Vice Season 2 will have a total of ten episodes. This is an increase from the number in the previous season which had 8. After the fourth episode has aired, there will be six more episodes left in the series. HBO is not expected to make any scheduling changes. But in case that happens, we will update our readers through these weekly preview articles.
What happened in Episode 3?
Episode 3 of Tokyo Vice’s new season focuses on blossoming relationships between our characters. Jake and Mitsuki have been dating for a while. But she is apprehensive about taking it public as it could put her life in danger. When Jake scores an invite to a party at the US Embassy, Mitsuki reluctantly agrees to be his plus one. However, once she spots a man she saw with Tozawa earlier, Mitsuki leaves in a panic. Jake gets more bad news as Tats is arrested based on his stories in the paper.
Despite not naming anyone, Jake has landed him in serious trouble. To compensate for it, he requests Sato to help out. The two men do not hold any grudges because of the past. Sato agrees to help Jake by providing protection to Tats while he is in jail. Samantha is given the task of spying on Ohno when he invites her to his apartment.
Sato reveals that Claudine was doing a job for Chihara-kai. Ohno is the chief designer for a new shopping complex coming up on a railway station in the city. But Ishida wants to know which one so that he can buy the surrounding real estate which will become prime after the announcement. Samantha strikes a deal with Ishida to get sole ownership of the club and protection from the gang in exchange for spying on Ohno.
Sato and Erika get intimate after weeks of spending silent car drives together. Hayama takes an interest in Kaito when he discovers his technical dexterity. In Sato’s absence, he takes Kaito to a brothel.
Katagiri and DS Nagata start their special mission by cracking down on Hishinuma-kai, a dwindling Yakuza group in the city. The plan is successful as the task force gives a “new twist to an old law.”
