‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Episode 8 opens with Youki and Inki trying to figure out what they want to do for a living. Inki finally makes up her mind to join Hellhorde as a torturer after much thought. Her goal, she tells Youki, is to make other people happy. Because of this, Youki is puzzled. However, she continues by saying that nowadays they don’t use harsh tactics, so the duties of a torturer are very different from what they were in the past. Later on, we see that Youki too chooses to become a tormentor.

Having passed their respective exams, the two of them resolve to take His Majesty’s torturer promotion test. To trick him into spilling the beans, they start dancing in front of him. However, they fail the first exam. Following this, they visit the Princess and ask for her help. She proceeds to direct them and instructs them to pay great attention to the King, telling them to take advantage of something that is very important to him.

Youki and Inki invite Maomao to dance with them as they retake the torturer exam. The King’s heart melts, and he joins them. After this, Hellhorde promotes Youki and Inki to the position of torturer.

In the second half, the princess goes to the sauna with the giant. After that, the Giant takes her outdoors to get ice cream. The giant decides to take the longer path so she can spend more time with the princess. Following that, the princess and the giant brave the cold weather on their way to the store. However, since they’re so cold from the walk, they settle for meat buns instead when they get there.

In the episode’s third plot point, the princess is tortured by Harm Marshal Vanilla Peschutz, a new member of Hellhorde. Her family’s name is Peschutz, and they’re notoriously known for torturing their victims. The tormentor takes the princess to an amusement park to show her the true nature of torture.

The cruel tormentor forces the princess to ride the most terrifying rollercoaster as part of the torture. She is averse to the idea, but Torture Tortura insists that she go on the ride with the princess since she could confess while there. After this, the princess is seen having a great time on the ride, while the torturer is visibly terrified. After this, the princess comforts the torturer by holding her hands as they endure the ordeal.

Once the ride is over, the torturer confesses her defeat to the princess. As the episode comes to a close, we witness the torturer remembering how the princess held her hand and helped her endure the ride.

The Episode Review

Episode 8 finds Youki and Inki attempting the promotion exam for the position of torturer. The giant takes the princess on a stroll in the dark. The princess is shown the true meaning of torture by a new Hellhorde member.

Like the previous episodes, this episode too is extremely light-hearted and entertaining. Compared to other episodes, this one is an improvement because the plot is now less repetitive. To top it all off, the anime is enjoyable to watch because of the characters.

It will be fascinating to watch the fresh stories that the show releases in its final phase, as the anime’s finale is quickly approaching.
