The Matchmakers is the newest rom-com set in the Joseon era. The historical drama is portrayed as a hilarious and intense matchmaking battle between Shim Jung-woo, the King’s grumpy son-in-law looking for a way to get divorced and the headstrong and cheery widower, Jung Soon-deok who secretly works as a matchmaker.
Of course, since they know all about marriage, they end up in an unlikely partnership as they must help all the important but ageing spinsters find a husband ASAP! Rowoon is on a roll as a few weeks following the finale of the hit K-drama Destined With You, he returns as Shim Jung-woo in The Matchmakers. Opposite him, stars Cho Yi-hyun of All Of Us Are Dead fame.

Where Can I Watch The Matchmakers?
The Matchmakers will be shown on the KBS2 channel and airs at 9.45pm (KST). It will be on the Korean platform Wavve in certain regions. It is also available to stream on Viki and Viu for international fans.
The Matchmakers Episode 8 Release Date
The Matchmakers Episode 8 will release on Monday 27th November at approximately 12.45pm (GMT) / 8:45am (ET). It has been postponed a week due to the FIFA World Cup qualification match airing in the same time slot. Viki is known to release English subtitles immediately.
Expect each episode to be roughly 1 hour long, which is consistent with the time frame for the rest of KBS dramas.

The Matchmakers is a 16-episode K-drama, with two episodes releasing a week. It will run its course till December 25.

What Happens in the Next Episodes?
In the teaser, Soon-deok saves Jung-woo. Sam-soon wonders if they like each other and they are flustered. The King confesses to Jung-woo about the sick court lady and tells him to find proof that his daughter was murdered the same way. So-hyun apparently knows about Yeojudaek. Bong finds a wanted poster of Yeojudaek as a murderer. She reveals to Jung-woo that she is a widow.
