The Gold Season 1 Episode 6 Preview: Release Date, Time & Where To Watch

The Gold Season 1 Episode 6

The Gold is a drama from BBC based on the real-life heist that shocked the UK back in November of 1983. Six masked men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m. This was a huge stroke of luck and the coincidence resulted in the world’s biggest heist in value terms back then. Dominic Cooper, Hugh Bonneville, Charlotte Spencer, and Sean Harris are some of the big names from the large ensemble cast.

The Gold was originally released back in February of this year with all the episodes still available to stream on the network’s digital streaming platform. However, that optionality is only with our readers in the UK. The Gold made its international debut on Paramount’s digital streaming platform in September.

The show has moved strongly over the last two weeks. The story has taken good strides and we have reached the point where the chain to move the Brink’s-Mat gold is about to be cracked.

Here is everything you need to know about The Gold Season 1 Episode 6, including its release date, time, and where you can watch this.

Where Can I Watch The Gold?

The Gold will be exclusively available to stream on Paramount+ and watch with the cable network on Paramount. As revealed above, The Gold’s international release comes months after its debut in the UK on BBC. As of now, there isn’t much information about the order of release of episodes on Paramount’s different platforms. But expect the release to be simultaneous as part of the group’s efforts to popularize its streaming platform.

The Gold Season 1 Episode 6 Release Date

The Gold Season 1 Episode 6 will be released on Sunday, October 15, at 9 pm ET/PT. Expect the runtime to be roughly 58 minutes or even more. After the doubleheader on its first viewing, the show now reverts to a weekly release schedule for most territories. The new episode of The Gold is titled “I’ll Be Remembered.”

The episode will be available to stream on Paramount+ with subtitles. Quite interestingly, Paramount has decided that for its viewers outside the US, the entire show will be made available to stream in one go. However, the US has stuck to a weekly release after the opening doubleheader.

How Many Episodes Will The Gold Have?

The Gold’s Season 1 will run for a total of 6 episodes. So, the series will draw a close with the airing of the finale, i.e., episode 6.

What happened in Episode 5?

Episode 4 sees a lot of progress in the task force’s pursuit of conspiracy charges against Noye. In order to do so, they need to figure out in whose name the Swiss accounts are opened. Boyce goes to Switzerland to get all the help he can get. His honesty and personality impress General Siegrist, who is convinced to do whatever he can to tackle the watertight Swiss secrecy laws. They are able to get the names of Edwyn Cooper and Gordon Parry.

Gordon’s name is also attached to the car that Keith was caught in at the border crossing in episode 4. Neville is alert to the situation and tries to strike a deal with Boyce. Britain’s extradition request for Palmer is denied. However, Boyce pulls some strings through his superiors and nabs him en route to Brazil. He is finally brought to England to face trial.

On the same day, Boyce also has the opportunity to catch Cooper and Parry. The latter is able to get away but the former is caught. Neville vows to strike back at Boyce for the betrayal of his confidence. McAvoy’s escape attempt from prison is ruined by untimely rain and inclement weather.
