The Gentlemen – Season 1 Episode 3 “Where’s My Weed At” Recap & Review

Where’s My Weed At

Episode 3 of The Gentlemen starts with Jimmy on his way to deliver the weed when he stops for a bite to eat and meets a woman named Gabrielle. What Jimmy thinks is a chance encounter turns out to be a trap. Gabrielle and her sister steal his keys and his van. This poses a problem as Tony Blair, Susie’s client, is a highly impatient man.

When Susie informs Tony that they need more time to deliver the drugs, he offers her an alternative. Tony asks Susie to steal a super-modified and highly expensive Lamborghini Huracan. Since Susie’s men are busy locating the van, she asks Edward to carry out the job, and he agrees.

The theft is to be carried out in two stages. The first stage involves cloning the car key, while the second one involves stealing the car itself. Since the job isn’t easy, Edward asks Freddy to pose as a car dealer interested in buying the Lamborghini, and Freddy agrees. When they visit the store, they’re told that the Lamborghini isn’t for sale. Fortunately, fate smiles their way, and Edward manages to clone the key.

As the episode progresses, Jimmy is found unconscious and naked in the woods. When he wakes up, Jimmy talks about the wild night he had, including his chance encounter with Gabrielle, whom he calls an angel from the sky. Susie wastes no time and orders her men to find Gabrielle so they can fill the massive hole in their supply chain.

Edward manages to steal the Lamborghini and also saves a man whom Mercy has been keeping captive. This is where we learn why Tony Blair wanted the car. In reality, Tony never wanted the car; he wanted the 150 kilos of cocaine that had been sitting inside the car’s trunk.

Unfortunately, trouble escalates when Mercy captures Freddy and asks Edward to return the car and the cocaine if he wants to see his brother again. Thus, Edward has no choice but to comply.

Mercy plans to make an example out of Freddy so no one double-crosses her. Susie Glass comes to the rescue and offers Mercy to Tony Blair if she lets Freddy leave unscathed. Mercy kills Tony in front of everyone and allows Edward, Susie, and Freddy to leave.

But what about the stolen van? Towards the end, Jimmy receives a call from Gabrielle, and they agree to meet again for a dinner date. As for the weed, Gabrielle and her sister torch the van with the weed in it.

The Episode Review

Episode three hits hard with its intense family drama and unflinching violence, just like the last two episodes. Edward started out wanting to distance himself from the criminal world, but with each episode, it seems like he’s getting deeper and deeper into it.

Can he find a way to break free, or will he end up following in his father’s footsteps? And as for the next episode, we might finally get some answers about the mysterious sisters and their vendetta against Jimmy or Susie’s business. We’ll hopefully uncover the truth behind their motives and how they’re connected to the bigger picture!
