Solo Leveling is a new action-adventure fantasy anime based on a popular webtoon. It takes place in a world where hunters explore dungeons to collect nifty rewards and battle dangerous beasts. At the center of our tale is Sung, who happens to be the weakest hunter in this universe. One day, he tackles a dungeon that’s too much for him to handle.
Before perishing, a log appears in front of him and asks him if he’d like to become the Player. If he chooses “no,” he’ll perish. Not wanting to die, Sung accepts the log’s terms. This kickstarts Sung’s journey to become the most powerful hunter of all time.

Solo Leveling Season 1 is airing in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other social channels. It is available to stream on Crunchyroll outside of Asian territories.
Solo Leveling Season 1 Episode 9 Release Date
Solo Leveling Season 1 Episode 9 will be released on Saturday 9th March at approximately 10am (GMT) / 2am (PT) / 4am (CT). Of course, it’s dependent on how quickly the platform uploads new episodes. Expect this to be pretty close to the release time though.
Solo Leveling’s English Dub is now available on Crunchyroll. However, only episodes one through seven have been released with it (so far). You’ll need to watch the remaining episodes in the native Japanese language.
Episode 9 is titled “You’ve Been Hiding Your Skills” and will be 24 minutes long.

What Happened In Episode 8?
In Solo Leveling Season 1 Episode 8, Sung reunites with Yoo and accepts his C-Rank dungeon offer. However, Sung says he’d like Yoo and himself to tackle the C-Rank dungeons alone. Though Yoo is skeptical, he accepts Sung’s request. Elsewhere, a scout from Yoo’s father’s organization attempts to recruit Hae-in into the guild.
We cut to Yoo and his father in a car. His father touches upon topics regarding life, dungeons, hunters, and guilds. Additionally, he name-drops a few popular guilds and finds those guilds’ monopoly over dungeon-related profits absurd. After that, we cut to Sung, who’s upset that he can’t surpass his daily quest requirements anymore.
While wandering the city, Sung receives a message from the Hunter’s Association. They want several hunters to participate in a D-Rank dungeon expedition. Sung heads off to that expedition’s location. Afterward, we receive some updates regarding Park, Song, and Yoohee’s current state of affairs. Then, we witness Baek and Choi discuss things.
They discuss Yoo’s father’s guild-making affairs, the Jeju Island incident, and Baek’s recent interview. Later, Hae-in arrives and tells Choi she met with one of Yoo’s father’s scouts. She mentions that she declined a “guildmaster” offer from the scout. After that, we cut to Sung and Song reuniting in the city.
They catch up and learn they’re both participating in the upcoming D-Rank dungeon raid. Additionally, they meet Joohee, Park, and another party member of theirs from the double-dungeon raid. Before they can catch up with them, an inspector named Kang arrives with several prisoners.
One of the Hunter Association affiliates informs our group that these prisoners will be participating in this dungeon raid. However, Kang guarantees the hunters that the prisoners will be on their best behavior. Song asks Sung if he can lead this expedition and Sung says he’s okay with it. The episode closes with Song leading our group into the dungeon.
