‘The Flight Attendant’s season one became a sleeper hit. Without raising too many expectations, it benefited from the fresh reimagining of the murder-mystery genre, adding a tinge of comedy and existentialism to it as well.
Season two follows in the footsteps of season one by creating similar yet more elusive timelines for Cassie Bowden. Our beloved flight attendant is more of a CIA asset than an attendant in season two and the story follows her as she navigates the attempts of a blonde impersonator on a killing spree to indict Cassie for her crimes.
If you have finished season 2, you may be wondering if the show has been renewed for season 3, given the conclusion we received. Read ahead to find the answer!
What is The Flight Attendant Season 2 about?
Cassie Bowden now works as a CIA asset, though she still has her day job. She has moved to Los Angeles after the events of season one and continues her journey to rediscover herself as a person and professionally in her new avatar. But trouble once again follows her as Will, her mark (assignment) dies mysteriously in a big blast in Germany.
Cassie is then left to fend authorities from blaming her for murders committed henceforth, seemingly at her behest by a blonde impersonator she saw in Germany and at the scene of the crime.
The season also sees Megan Briscoe, Cassie’s best friend from season one, return to the US after staying in Finland as a traitor of the country for giving out classified defense files to the North Korean government.
For Cassie, the task is even more difficult as she also has to settle the ghosts of her past and confront her treacherous relationship with her mother. The big question in the season is as to how or if at all, Cassie will be able to find the calmness to reinvent herself.

Has The Flight Attendant been renewed for Season 3?
At the time of writing this, The Flight Attendant has not renewed for season three.
Despite the great ratings season two has received, question marks remain over the possibility of another season because of the ending of season two. For those who need a recap, this ends with everything perfectly in place and Cassie finally being free from any encumbrances or trouble.
There are no new avenues to explore like we saw Cassie being roped in as a CIA asset at the end of season one. Max and Annie’s wedding is the last thing we see on screen before it goes black. Given its success and plethora of opportunities though, we predict that The Flight Attendant will be renewed by HBO for season three.

What we know about Season 3 so far:
As of now, HBO executives are still undecided as to what they will do with the show. There are rumors that have not been confirmed by the creators or stars of the show that a meeting between them is imminent. A final decision will come probably after that, although I suspect that the good ratings, viewership, and critical reviews will make sure we get a season three.
